Danae Hotel, hotel in Egina

Hotel Danae is situated on the coastal road of Aegina near the Temple of Apollo, about half a mile from the center of town. It has 54 rooms all with private balcony and most with a sea view.

The room was pleasant but small. I was surprised that for the price of the room weren't given a bottle of water, tissues or coffee even though there was a kettle, The ocean view was really more of an ocean glimpse looking out over the main road. The highlight of the hotel was the pool area which was very lovely and kept spotlessly clean.

Klonos Anna, hotel in Egina

Hotel Klonos Anna enjoys a prime location only 164 feet from the beach and 2625 feet from Aegina’s town center. The family-run hotel offers 20 air conditioned rooms with mini fridge and TV.

It was a lovely (very clean) room with incredible views of the mountains and the sea! A public beach was very close, as were magnificent views of the sunset. We were fortunate enough to have a concert of traditional Greek music playing nearby the night we stayed that we enjoyed listening to from our balcony and from our room through the large bedroom window we opened. I'm not much of a morning person, but I couldn't NOT get up for it since the view was right there to the back of our balcony. The harbor with restaurants and shopping was just a short walk away. We only stayed one night, so we didn't utilize the pool, but it was inviting as well.

Afaia houses, hotel in Egina

Just a 4-minute walk from Panagitsa Beach and half a mile from Avra Beach, Afaia houses features accommodations in Egina, with free bikes and a shared lounge.

The place is extremely well located, in the centre of Aegina town and at walking distance from the harboiur. If you have a car, there is a public, free, parking nearby. The flat is modern, clean. There were some - dead - corkroaches on the floor and the bath towels were hard and rough. The mattress was far too soft, but I understand this is personal taste, others may like it like this. The keys were on the door when we arrived.

Aegina is a very pretty town with ferries coming and going all day, every day. Its only 40 mins from Piraeus, but a world away from the city. I visited in off season - November - but the weather was lovely at 23*C. There are plenty of places to eat along the waterfront, and it is an easy place to explore by walking, bus or taxi. You can hire bikes too just opposite the port. I visited the ruins & museum at the end of town; and travelled to other places on the island including the Temple of Aphaia, Agin Marina, and Paliachora. The people are very friendly. I could have easily stayed longer!

I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it...

I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it still keep a charm about it ,where there used to be little cafes bakeries and all sundries are now well expanded bars. The back street now have a myriad of shops and all you need provision wise, the old fish market survives and is renowned for its fresh fish and restaurants serving the same all the way back to Athens . It gets now very busy at the weekend as the Atheans flood back from the city .the town prides itself on its impressive ancient history and modern cultural endeavours galleries and festivals . There are not the boys on tour nonsense beer bellies rowdy 'go on down it Dave' ! of other big islands which i have also lived on in Greece. the larger groups are made of the sailing fraternity so you may get a group of 10 Dutch, German or English but they have a different and more respectful etiquette, the bars are very much for Greeks of all ages with the tourist filling the other seats in harmony . it can be noisy as the ferries bring in and take out persons and trade all day ,but it settles again as the ships leave .

A higgledy piggledy jumble of small streets with both traditional and modern shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Plenty of scope to wander, too small to get lost in. Pistachios for sale everywhere: ultimately I chose to get mine from Mourtzis at P. Irioti 57, and am very happy I did. Eating: for simple, reasonably priced, fresh and delicious Greek food, and excellent, friendly service I would recommend O ΤΣΙΑΣ (Tsias) along the waterfront. Don't miss the Archeological Museum - it's absolutely fascinating.

It Has easy access from Athens with regular ferries. A variety of little bays and restaurants. Generally peacefull and relaxed environment. Felt very safe at all times as a solo traveller. There are options to go to other islands from there for day / afternoon trips. The Island itself is lush and green due to pistachio trees and the sea is stunning. Monuments and churches to visit as well. Mostly rocky beaches.

The owners were incredibly helpful and attentive ensuring we had everything we needed. The room was cleaned every day and kept to a high standard. John gave great recommendations for local restaurants and other amenities. The location of the hotel is perfect for a short stroll to the port where there are plenty of cafés, bars, restaurants and beaches but also for the bus station that we used to see the sights across the whole island. The welcoming family feel of the hotel was lovely and we would love to return in the future!

A lovely hotel run by a beautiful family. Very welcoming and friendly. Always ready to assist. We had a room with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach right at your doorstep along with restaurants and cafes. A few minutes walk to the busy town centre and the Ktel bus next door. Very convenient and easy way to get around the island. We visited some beaches, it stoped in front of Afaid and the monastery. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location. Thank you.

It has all the amenities and equipment you need for traveling, and it feels home away from home!!! The sea, the island, the orthodox monasteries, the overall port life and pistachio enjoyed on the balcony of Ulrika Hotel. Separated from the night life in the port makes it good for a family with children. Clean and organized room. We used intensively the fridge and the shower having hot water all the day. Great hosts, father & sons, helped us with everything (baggage, cheapest car rent, where to best eat/buy local products, tips & tricks).

Very comfortable, family-run hotel. Wonderful location in a quiet part of Aegina town, but still very close to restaurants and shops, and a short walk to the port and the bus station. We had a lovely sea-view from our balcony looking towards the Argolid Peninsula. The Colonna archaeological site and museum was a few minutes’ walk away, and a lovely beach on the other side of the archeological site was less than ten minutes’ walk.

We were mislead by the description saying the port and beaches were near by and it’s not true, walking from the port is like 2 km up to hill with 40 degrees. There is no store nor beaches near by (the closer beach is rocky ). The hotel itself is great and have a great pool and chill area, the restaurant serve really great dishes and staff is amazing. Just the location which is not the best so I recommend you to rent a car or bike.

Perfect location for easy access to Aegina Town Harbour, local tavernas, shops and archaeological sites, handy for nearby beaches. Christina and George make it their business to help you enjoy your stay. The beds were among the most comfortable of any accommodation we've stayed in. The Fistiki Festival celebrating the pistachio harvest during our stay was an unexpected bonus.
