You need to walk 20 minutes for the sandy beach or 8 minutes with bus. (there is an option for non sandy beach around 500 meter, but we do not tried it).
The room size is big and breakfast is about 90% sweet pastry so good for kids.

They are simply fantastic these guys! Very friendly stuff, they even have made a surprise for the birthday of my father (it was so sweet of you, guys, really) and the Sea Is exceptional! I've traveled after to Catania, Siracusa, Palermo and Taormina and never have found the sea like this!

Sand beach, free next to the water. Wonderful view from the beach. We tried trattoria "L'angolo di Mondello Trattoria da Franco" on Piazza Mondello and "Alle Terrazze". The first one (Franco) is a family-driven local, traditional place, the second one is a first-class restaurant with a very high standard, with excellent panorama view.

Very friendly and hospitable host - Roberta. Fab breakfast, home baked cakes every morning with a huge choice of goodies incl eggs anyway you like i.e. poached, scrambled, omelet's etc. Quiet location but within a very short walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the centre ... The room was lovely, very clean and spacious with a great balcony, the air-con was wonderful too ...

Beautiful scenery, close to Palermo, sandy beaches and few local restaurants. We were out of season so I am sure it's more buzzing during the summer. There was a great restaurant with fresh sea food just across the Art Hotel.

Mondello has all the capabilty to be a first-rate tourist destination: the sandy beach, the transparent clear water, the landscape, the old villas. I just can't understand why they can't keep the streets clean to match the natural environment. The rubbish almost ruins everything.

Mondello is a lovely little town with some good restaurants and a beautiful beach! It is only a 30 min bus ride away from Palermo and the busses are cheap and easy to navigate. It is not a party town, but was perfect for us as the beach was a 5 minute walk away as were many nice cafes and restaurants. We walked out to Capo Gallo, which was really beautiful and great to be able to jump into the ocean for a quick cooling down.SigrúnUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0
Palermo and the surroundings are dirty - you have to get...
Palermo and the surroundings are dirty - you have to get used to it. However staying in Mondello is much better than staying in Palermo center. Mondello beach is sandy and nice, the beach is clean. There are lots of restaurants and you can find all services you need in the nearby (supermarket, laundry...etc.) There is a bus going to Palermo center (nr 806).

Claudia and Salvo was very accommodating, friendly and great host who made us feel very much at home. The space was a good size, very clean and new and the outside seating area was just lovely. The street to the beach was very pretty and lovely to walk down . All in all after 2 weeks in Sicily we can conclude that this was the best bed and breakfast we stayed in. I cannot recommend stay here enough :) thank you very much

The apartment had everything we needed and even more as 2 small electric scooters were available for use. That made it really easy to explore and go to the beaches and around. On our last day Edi even offered to drive us to the bus station but ended driving us right to our new hotel. We highly recommend Mondello’s pearl. A true hidden gem.MMikkelDenmark

The host was very friendly and accomodating, Guiseppe helped us organised transport to go to the coach station to grab our tickets to the Seattle outlets and also the Airport for the journey back. Note, cabs take forever to book and rarely visible on the Cab apps. Better to pre-book everything.
