Kutchan is a lovely city with friendly locals and widespread English proficiency, making communication easy. There are plenty of options for renting or purchasing snowboard gear, which is convenient for enthusiasts. Overall, I will definitely return to Kutchan.

The owners were extremely nice and communicated everything well. There a bus stop for both directions at the entrance making it very accessible to either town. When I got hurt and had to go to the hospital the grandma at the property who used to be a nurse helped re bandage my ankle after the hospital didn’t do a good job and everyone checked on me every day. There are supermarkets within walking distance and the train station is also close. There is a great coffee shop nearby, Sprout. The self service hotel is great as you can easily checkin and out at your own pace. The staff were nice when I did interact with them.

He carried our bags for us. The toilet is good. Warm toilet seat, adjustable pressure for water spray and even air dryer and air freshener after using the toilet! Also appreciate there's a 24-hour convenient store next to the hotel.

The room is equipped with a kitchen, which was very great because there aren’t many restaurants out there. We bought food from supermarket and this is the best way to enjoy food in this town. It’s still a walk down a couple of traffic lights to get there in the snow so plan to take smaller luggage or just carry backpacks.
