The location is excellent 5 min walk to the Main Street. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The fan and aircon worked quite well and the swimming pool was great. The manager also let us stay longer to wait for our night time flight (paying a bit extra of course).

A busy touristy beach town with a nice beach and good waves.
A busy touristy beach town with a nice beach and good waves.
Eating out can be expensive and caters to Western tastes. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find authentic Sri Lankan food, a real shame.
There are beautiful temples in the area, drop your smoothie bowl and experience the real Sri Lanka.

Mirissa is a great beach, currently the ocean is rough in April due to unusual weather patterns perhaps after Taiwan earthquake .
Fun beach where it totally comes alive from 4pm with restaurants row and in the mornings too could use the beach chairs swim while sipping a cocktail or have afternoon tea, currently only dip but for surf better. The food served with cocktails , wines alcohol and deserts are gourmet and delish and upto international standards.

Not sure where the rave reviews come from, there are much nicer beaches/beach locations in Sri Lanka! The town of Mirissa is actually quite littered and the offerings in terms of cafes, restaurants is not great.

Lovely long beach with many restaurants and bars along the way. Always a happy hour/hours at most places. Food is relatively expensive but you have to remember you are literally eating on the beach. Good surf spots and even a little body surf action on the main beach.

A very beautiful and friendly place, the beaches are incredible, we stayed 4 nights before moving on to Colombo, had we not already booke a paid for the hotel in Colombo, I can definitely say that we would've stayed in mirrisa for the entire time we were inSri Lanka.
The hotel was in an ideal location, run by very nice and friendly people.
I would highly recomend to stay at Dilara Resort if your are planning to go on excursions, it's perfect.
It was an enjoyable experience. The hotel is wonderful, the staff are also wonderful, and the view from the room is soothing to the nerves. It is enough for you to sit just to enjoy.. The problem is with insects because it is surrounded by plants, but these are in all hotels on the whole island. The beach is rocky, you cannot swim in it, but it is okay, you can walk a little to reach the wonderful Mirissa beach. The treatment is wonderful from all the workers, from the reception to the superior cooks who can satisfy any food you want.
-Best breakfasts we had in a hotel in Sri Lanka
-Comfortable and nicely furnished rooms
-Nice common areas (restaurant on the rooftop and a small terrace on the first floor) to chill out/read books at the evening
-Staff is doing their best to make you feel comfortable (ie we were reading books at night in the common area, the staff member noticed us and brought anti-mosquito candles just for us)
-It’s not directly by the beach or in the centre (still within walking distance though), making it more cozy and calm than rest of Mirissa
Super location. Close to the beach and Mirissa (right wave) and Parriot Rock (left wave) Surf spots, restaurants and shops around. You can rent surf boards and get surf lessons. Owner is instructor ProSurfer, so your level can go higher. The rooms are clean and have everything you need, AC and WiFi are good. Hotel staff super friendly and helps in everything you need. Tasty breakfast with lot of fruits. Highly recommended place to stay in Mirissa
great location in mirissa, spotlessly clean, very friendly and helpful staff and one of the best Sri Lankan breakfasts we had all trip! Roman and his team couldn’t do more for us to make our stay comfortable, thank you!!. I would highly recommend staying here. the hotel has a lovely area where you can relax outside your room on hammocks or cabanas. there’s no pool but the hotel is opposite a beach bar that has a pool you can use.
It was a perfect stay for us at this hotel. Very quiet place and close to the beach. Everything here was clean and new. Good bed with a mosquito net. Host Nadee was very nice with good English. We had a good conversation about Sri Lanka and traditions. The breakfast was great here. Clean room and clean bathroom. The view of the garden was so beautiful. Nice location for an accommodation.
Excellent new hotel with amazing facilities, clean rooms, and very helpful staff always available at anytime. Very good continental breakfast and I also recommend the restaurant for lunch or dinner. The hotel is located at a calm area but very close to Mirissa beach (about 10 min by tuk tuk). The staff arranged scooter and tuk tuk rental delivered directly at the hotel at a fair price.
The nice staff , welcoming and hospitable
There was a kitchen in the yard that we could use.
Also there was a refrigerator in the room that we loved it to make our coconut cold!
The location is perfect near everything specially beach.
Also the outside yard is nice to sit it was like a garden
I will rebook it again if I wanna go Mirissa again.
One of the best stays in Sri Lanka! Stuff is amazing, warmly welcoming, breakfast was the exceptional. 3-4 min to the beach and coconut tree hill. It was so closed. I loved the hotel and manager, he guided us what we can do on our vacation. everything was super clean bed and linens. I will be back to hotel. Best of luck.
One of the best properties we stayed at in Sri Lanka and great value for money. This was the most affordable hotel during our entire stay yet the experience was great. The room and toilet was spotless clean, staff was very polite and location is about 10 mins walk from Mirissa beach. Highly recommended
Really nice location bang on Mirissa Beach with a lot of restaurants and bars surrounding it, the grocery store is just up the road and in general a great location if you are going to Mirissa. Not a lot happening at the hotel at night, but there are options on either side if you're up for a night out.
Nice and helpful people. The beautiful bay just in front of the hotel is sheltered from high waves by a reef and a large barrier of rocks. The narrow beach is about 80m long and submerged during high tide. The place can get a bit crowded then. Other beaches are nearby.
The hotel was fine for our 2 nights in Mirissa, it was at the quieter end of the beach, close to Coconut Tree Hill. Note that you can’t access the water from the back gate, there is a steep rocky area before the water and even the locals walked further along.
Nice cute botique hotel jus 2 mins walk away to the beach and coconut tree hill. Can literally see the coconut tree hill from the bedroom. Host Chandana is very good and helpful. Breakfast was simple but nice 👍 overall a nice stay near Mirissa beach
I stayed at their sister hotel in nuwara eliya, liked it so much that I decided to book this one at mirissa
Great little private hotel, unfortunately you can’t swim at the beach.
I was there during low season and had the entire place to myself
I had a splendid time, the staff was great.. The beach is very close.. but I had a calm sleep as there was no sound coming from the beach parties to the hotel. I will surely visit again with ma friends. 🤩🥰
The hotel is in a optimal position, really close to the center and at the mirissa beach
The owner helped us a lot to organize the blue whale trip and many other things!
Don't forgot to enjoy his restaurant!
The family who run this are lovely and welcoming. Great location just away from the busyness of beachy Mirissa. Lovely garden (which also means mosquitoes) but well prepared rooms with mosquito nets!
The property was in a good location and the facilities were excellent. The pool was great and not far from the beaches of mirissa. The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent
