Everything about this place was spectacular! Exceptionally clean! The staff were always professional and willing to help. Also worthy to note that if you don't want the loud party scene, you picked the right place. I felt very safe there too I will return to the Island and when I do? I will seek out a reservation there.

The property is amazingly peaceful and beautiful, perfectly located just a few steps to the road that leads to Punta Jesús María, and with an amazing view of Concepcion. And one of the best parts about it was the person managing the property, Clarissa - literally the kindest, most helpful host ever; she actually somewhat inspired me to decide to climb the volcano (and set me up with a guide) and stay another night. I’d heard that it might be hard to recuperate from the trek, and I could not imagine a better place to come back to than this.

We arrived at the end of the busy season (April 1st) which was nice, but it was hot, water had dried up, and many of the "tours" were not worth the time or money. The people were great! The food was awesome! And we loved exploring the island on our scooter. Definitely recommend Cafe Campestre! The pasta was OUTSTANDING and the people were fantastic. We didn't get a good-vibe from Chocolate Paradise - walked in - many people - nobody acknowledged our existence - so we left

not much to do except the closest place to stay i going to enjoy ometepe if you want to be by the ferry terminal. Not many good places to eat. one supermarket and not much of a nightlife but nice small town

This is a really lovely little town by the port.
This is a really lovely little town by the port. No fuss and in low season when we visited not too touristy. The volcano hike is really tough as it’s constant ascent without respite but very rewarding. Moyogalpa is a nice little town but know that most things you want to do are oh the southern part of the island. It’s a bus/4x4/scooter ride (45 minutes probably) but very quaint with everything you need. Jean at El Picante restaurant is very amiable and pleasant. The food is good. Going down to El Peru to kayak the Rio Istián was the highlight of the island.DanteUnited States of America

The bathroom is in great condition and always clean. Rich and tasty breakfast, one of the best I've had in South/Central America. The common area and the hammocks are perfect for relaxing. The hostel is located near a quiet street so you won't be hearing all the noise from the tuktuks and motorbikes.
