This was one of the best places we stayed our entire trip through India and Nepal. The staff were extremely helpful, and even held our stuff while we trekked. Had I known they booked tours ahead of time I would have done so through them. Beautiful, unique rooms (we stayed in two of them between two different visits). Also very satisfactory breakfast included.

There are a lot of historical places to see nearby and some nice nature excursions through day trips as well. A lot to explore in terms of culture and shopping. It can be a little dusty and polluted at times so better to wear a mask when walking around the city.

We stayed in Kathmandu following the flight and to organise the remainder of our trip. I believe that 2 days in Kathmandu is ample to explore the city and take in the sights either before heading off to explore the stunning beauty of Nepal or when finishing the trip

Nepal is like another world, well worth visiting for the adventurous and open-minded.
Mountains, Hindu temples, Buddhist stupas and Tibetan monasteries, cities bustling with cheerful people and open-fronted shops, squalor and beauty, power cuts, street dogs and chickens, chaotic beeping traffic, 50% motorbikes and scooters, sometimes with more that two on board, which nevertheless an old lady can somehow cross safely.

So many things to see and experience, truly awesome.
So many things to see and experience, truly awesome. Lots of places to eat to experience the local cuisine. lots of places are within walking distance and the taxis are very cheep to get to the places out of walking distance. On a word of caution, wear a face mask, the air pollution is chronic. One disappointing thing that I found quite shocking was that the supposedly "sacred river" that flows through the city was treated as an open sewer. The smell and sight of raw effluent coming from the waters was horrific.

It’s a crazy high pace of screaming motorbikes and daredevil taxi drivers with your life in their hands. Some interesting spiritual sites of interest and a bazillion trekking companies and trekking equipment and clothing stores selling the top names brands all fake of course. You gotta love the people and their culture !!
This is the best of the upper scale hotels I've stayed at in Kathmandu. The hotel has all the features of more expensive hotels in Kathmandu for a lower price, the breakfast included with the room is exceptional, the staff are incredible (but that's everywhere in Nepal), rooms are quiet, the bed is super comfortable, the shower is amazing.
This hotel is the best value of anywhere I've stayed in Nepal over the last several years, and I will certainly return!
The staff were so incredibly kind and friendly. Everyone from the desk staff to the restaurant staff were very helpful and eager to do whatever they could to assist us. The location is fantastic--it is close enough to walk into Thamel, but just outside the noisiest parts. The hotel is set just far back enough from the street that it is surprisingly quiet. For Kathmandu, anyway. The outdoor seating at the restaurants is incredibly pleasant.
When traveling to Kathmandu, I always stay at this family hotel because it is cozy and comfortable, with very friendly staff. In terms of price-quality ratio, this is the best option; for a small amount you get peace, comfort, cleanliness, order and you are in the busiest place in Kathmandu in Thamel, within walking distance of most attractions.
One of the best hotel in city I made last minute booking at this hotel and was right decision. Great location middle of Thamel many shops and Restaurant nearby. Nice hotel clean and very wide room 306 buffet breakfast lot's of choice. Staff are very friendly definitely coming back in future recommend The Address Kathmandu Hotel.
Nirvana Boutique Hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of Thamel with peaceful Green Beautiful Garden. The cozy rooms, attentive staff, and convenient location, ample parking and variety of American style Breakfast make it a top choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in Kathmandu.😀
I strongly advise this hotel. The location is perfect, next to Thamel, but in this hotel you don't listen hustle and bustle of the street. It's a quiet place. The staff is very friendly and rooms are good. The breakfast is very good with sweet and salt food served in a tiny quiet garden. Moreover is a cheap hotel :)
nice hotel, staff is very warm and welcoming (although all Nepalese people are :) ), location is amazing - quiet street in thamel, but 100m walking to the center and all the mess of Kathmandu. Not really a realistic rating, but comparing to the other stays in Nepal (we spent a month there) one of the best.
The location actually is the top notch thing about this hotel. it’s walkable distance from Airport
The owner is so helpful. He even prepared some oats as i was flying early morning.
Best choice for those who wants to stay near airport
Rooms are okay and i didn’t find much issues
Amazing hotel in town! Thank you Hotel Elegant Kathmandu Inn for an amazing service and facilities. One of the perfectly located hotel in Thamel area. The location is quiet and peaceful. The most amazing is the hospitality from this hotel. Everyone is so kind and helpful.
Great hotel in the heart of Thamel. Super friendly and professional staff. Very helpful with everything (bus tickets, trekking, restaurant advice, etc.). Nice and clean rooms. Made us feel like home in the busy Kathmandu before and after our trek. Definitely recommend.
The best hotel we stayed in in Nepal. Perfect location, right in the center of Thamel, very clean rooms and the entire hotel, extremely helpful staff and good food, comfortable beds, well-stocked bathroom and very good room services. I highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful view from hotel room and roof.View from roof 360 D. Felt like my second home .Friendly staff. WIFI is fast as well .Best location for Thamel ,Kathmandu dubar square and Swyambhu stupa (monkey temple also called).
affordable price go stupa view inn .
Location is excellent, right in the center of Thamel. For a budget hotel this is excellent value for the money.
Breakfast is a bit skimpy, but so are most hotels in Nepal.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. We would stay there again on our next trip
This is probably the best budget hotel in the town, simply an amazing place. The room was spacious, cleaned, and comfy. If you're visiting Kathmandu and don't know where to book a place for your stay then book Zen B&B.
Excellent hotel with excellent location. The hotel located at the middle of Thamel, kathmandu. Clean & Comfortable room. The staffs were amazing, one of the best hotel you will find in kathmandu. it was amazing stay.
Pleasent stay . Staff are Nice attentive. Management provided service of transportation with out any problem. I rate this hotel as best and will visit again when I tour Kathmandu
