The peace, quiet, relaxed feeling in the middle of the country. Hosts were great. The Eftpos was not working so we had to drive 22kms to go to a bank- that was not fun! Hosts were very pleasant and made us feel at home.

It was a lovely place to stay.
It was a lovely place to stay.
You can plan day trips out towards Abel Tasman National Park.
You can do coastal or inland.
There's a surprise around every corner.
Kaiteriteri is beautiful, The Resurgence is amazing and the Caves up the hill are incredible.
Seriously though, knowing how much was available to see and do, we'll plan better next time. We were there for a family event, I wish we went further afield like out Golden Bay area, it is all so close and accessible.

It’s been a long time since I was in Motueka. The last time would have been 50+ years ago.
It’s a very laid back place.
I was there for a planned dancing trip. I had booked in a tandem skydive 🪂 and loved it

Nice country town at the gateway of beautiful Abel Tasman National Park. Beautiful and interesting beach and waterways. Lots of pretty gardens in the homes around and The Rose Garden had gorgeous, colourful roses with perfume. Lots of fooderies around. Water taxis up to Abel Tasman.

Motueka itself is unremarkable.
Motueka itself is unremarkable. It is the surrounding area of Abel Tasman, Kaiteriteri, Riwaka, Mapua, etc., and the vineyards (check out Forsters). It is a great central spot for exploring. We found Takaka nicer, but getting over the hill to Takaka is a pain.
The quiet location set just back from the road out of town leading to the wonderfully scenic Motueka Valley route to Murchison was the motel's best feature. Our room was tired, though absolutely clean. A deep hole in the lawn above the septic tank threatened to cause ankle injury for the unwary and the laundry outhouse was not clean enough. Nevertheless, for our final night of four spent in Motueka in all, the motel room was adequate, with comfortable bedding and a pleasant lawned area at the front door.
Excellent studio for 2 in a great location. The studio has been thoughtfully built to be comfortable with good materials, modern furnishings, plenty of natural light and space. The studio is easy to find, very central and essy to walk to town. Helena greeted us and showed us how to park before showing the essentials for our stay. We had a great stay and will recommend this studio to anyone travelling to Motueka. Thanks Helena for hosting us.
Cosy on Courtney was the best holiday homes we have used so far. Lots of little things to make it really great. Electric blankets on the beds, firewood waiting for us, wifi and movies to watch (when one of the kids were sick), fruit trees, big yard, Favorites in the fridge, friendly and communicative hosts, super clean. Everything to make the place comfortable had been thought of! We highly recommend cosy on Courtney.
Lovely B&B run by the lovely Julie who is so very helpful and friendly.
Great brekky supplies in our room which had a wonderful view of the hills around Motueka.
VERY comfy bed with quality sheets in an large room with a bar size frig, microwave, toaster and plenty of dishes. Easy walking all around town.
The hosts were pleasant.
They were willing to share so much with us.
Breakfast was like a buffet at a great hotel, with breads, pastries, cereals, eggs, milk, homemade jams, and fresh fruits.
They are developing a very eco-friendly place and take care to continue to be environmentally conscious..
Everything. Place was exceptionally clean and had a new feel. Well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking. Kids really enjoyed the backyard and various boardgames. Beds were really comfortable. If ever in Motueka again, will definitely book again.
Really nice, friendly, helpful staff.
Room was comfortable and clean, carpet was clean? shampooed recently? I didn't notice anything obvious, it's just when you see carpet of that age and style, it makes me wonder.
Your hotel building is a gem.
Thanks for hospitality.
Beautiful small family farm stay w communal kitchen and included breakfast, en suite bathrooms, great jumping off point for Abel Tasman NP, close to town (Motueka) but very peaceful rural setting, wonderful personable hosts
Close to Motueka. Sheltered sunny courtyards. Heaps of birds about. Brilliant interesting owners. Great views. Amazing breakfast. Bedroom 20 square meters plus en suite and large cupboard.
Very cozy and clean studio overviewing beautiful garden in quiet part of town. 2 min drive to the center of Motueka. Owner answered all our questions and requests very promptly👍👍
The location and the facilities are great but the staff was amazing!!!
They gave us tips and maps to get to the best places around Motueka and the local hidden spots.
Situated a short way from the main road through Motueka it was in a great location for heading to Kaiteriteri and exploring Abel Tasman. The shower was excellent!
