Lovely little suite in a beautiful country setting. Although compact, the space was clean and comfortable. Comfy bed. Breakfast was not only provided but there was also ample and sufficient choice. Warm, hospitable hosts. The warm welcome provided by the resident cat “Snowdog” was purrrrfect!

Initially I thought that I booked the wrong place, however the photos do not do it justice. Large space, facilities contain all amenities that you require. Water is hot. Heating is great. Breakfast was greater than satisfactory. Also, fresh cows milk definitely made a difference. Very content with my choice after staying here.

The room was very clean and neat with comfortable beds, good WIFI and smart tv with Netflix, Youtube and more. Bathroom and other amenities were wonderful and I’d give 10/10 for the cleanliness. Nice garden/scenery and the host was very nice and friendly.

We loved walking around the main street checking out the Kiwiana displays. The Ed Hillary Walkway was great with so much information to read and objects to remember growing up in NZ. Railway Station worth a look and a coffee

Although this is a small country town it had all the conveniences we needed such as a Countdown, restaurants, cafes, great little unique shops, the kiwi house, green spaces, good public toilets, a big laundromat, take aways etc. Also very close to the Waitomo Caves, which is very handy.

We loved everything about our stay.
We loved everything about our stay. We arrived late at night and the room was waiting for us with the cosy warm light on so we knew exactly where to go in the dark. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and big and the breakfast was delicious. I can not think of anything should have been better, we were 100% satisfied and would love to stay longer or come back.

Loved the location, facilities, breakfast and welcoming host.
It was perfect for our overnight stay and we really should have stayed a second night.
The cabin is cute, well appointed and has a little deck with outdoor table & chairs.
It was slightly ‘tight’ for room with our big traveling cases but we made it work.

Otorohanga us a hidden gem.
Otorohanga us a hidden gem. More shops than I thought were there. A fabulous selection of all types too. Eateries are great. Crafty style shops great too. Gift shops, bakeries, bars are all great. No complaints at all. In fact I've arranged to meet a good friend for lunch in Otorohanga. She lives in Papamoa and I live in Stratford. It's half way and Wirth the travel.
Love it! Take a drive, stay at Chris & Dave's. Soak up the atmosphere.

The salt water pool was lovely and clean.
The salt water pool was lovely and clean. I don't like ants and the place was riddled with them. There was noone in the office to discuss issues with. The towels were well worn, but were replaced daily. The communal kitchens were not well equipped.
Way better than any hotel! One can easily feel that Marain & Noel really care about the place: it's beautiful, cozy, charming...
Mind you: set an alarm the day you check-out! Bed and pillows are so comfy that you'll definitely sleep-in. Bathroom sparkling clean, toiletries are great, nice shower, towels, comfy sofa and tables to eat inside or outside, breakfast is great... a memorable Kiwi experience.
Everything was wonderful. Our host Jamie, her two dogs, and all of the sheep were very welcoming.
Our cabin was cozy and comfortable. It felt like we were camping with all of the luxuries a hotel would provide. There was even a thoughtful breakfast nook in the cabin with cereals, milk, yogurt, bread, butter, jam, and coffee. We appreciated having a bite to eat before going about our adventures.
We loved this little farmstay. The hosts were amazing. Everything was spick and span. Super comfortable and they were so thoughtful and asked if we wanted anything while they were in town. Couldn't thank them enough. Just perfect for going to the wedding in Otorohanga which was 5-7 mins drive away. We would happily stay here again if we don't have the kids with us.
The breakfast supplies were very generous and varied. The room was large and comfortable. The view from the back garden was lovely - complete with sheep. It was close to the town and easy to access. The best part was the outdoor bath - we absolutely loved it and enjoyed the luxury after a day of cold black water rafting at Waitomo.
The perfect cozy nook to rest our legs after a day of adventures - being just down the road from Waitomo Caves, and the wonderful Kiwi House not far away in town too. The studio had everything we needed and it was such a treat to wake up to brekky already sorted (some of the best muesli we’ve ever had, thanks Fiona!).
My brother and I enjoyed our stay - wicked cold snap and we're traveling in a Jucy campervan, tin can. The host was very nice and informative. Kiwi House was an amazing sanctuary, Waterfalls, Natural Bridge nearby. Grocery store across the street. Restaurants in walking distance. It was just perfect, thank you!!
High on the hill with a wonderful view and only a short drive to Otorohanga if you don't want to cook dinner.
Also an easy drive to Waitomo.
The apartment is quiet, clean and comfortable. The driveway looked ok but it was easy to park on the road and walk down the steps or the driveway.
The Host was so welcoming and approachable.
Has a huge knowledge of the area.
These people have put in a huge amount of energy and labour into this beautiful Holiday Park, and still making awesome adjustments to please their visitors. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
We really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and perfect. Everything that was provided was off top standard. The staff were very friendly and made our stay very warm and welcoming. If we were to ever come back to Otorohanga we will definetly be coming back to this hotel.
Friendly, nice office lady (owner?). I'm happy to have stayed here ... and to have financially supported any future upgrades to this motel. Nice to be next to the countryside (at the end of the carpark, across the road). TV worked well. WIFI good.
Beautiful surroundings and close to Waitomo caves. Very friendly hosts and great room! This was our first night in New Zealand and its the one all other stays had to measure up against and very few if any succeded at beating this one!
The couple's room was great. Margaret was wonderful. Nothing too much trouble. Good location to town. Old NZ type Motel but comfortable and very clean. Small balcony out back where we sat in the sun before going to dinner in town.
We had an amazing stay at the Waitomo Orchard B&B. Everything was clean and the accommodation was so lovely. Trek was a great host and helped us with everything we needed. Can recommend it 100 %.
The property is 10 minutes drive from Waitomo Caves. We were able to get there easily. The breakfast is included which is nice as we had to head back early the next morning to visit Hobbiton.
