It's a beautiful, relaxing location overlooking a paddock with horses and ponies. The wood fire was marvelous, as was the pack of TimTams left for our arrival.

We were spoilt by Helen the owner and given fresh eggs and croissants for our breakfast. I loved the peaceful location and the river swim. It was a relaxing retreat.

According to friends who live there it is a great place for sports and entertainment social gathering etc as it is handy to many of these locations and facilities but there is a presence of Bogons and Mongrel Mob to the point where they discouraged us from walking back to our motel at night. However they have lived there for 20 years and enjoy it.

Upper Hutt is a small city about 40 mins by train or road from Wellington and served by excellent public transport. It has good shopping in the city centre with major supermarkets and local shops. It is surrounded by plentiful green space especially along the Hutt River which has a pedestrian/cylce path which runs all along the valley down to Wellington. There are lots of sporting events and the city hostS the Wellington Racetrack which promotes not only horse racing but numerous other events - during the two weeks we were there there was a major American vintage car festival and a food, craft night market.

I was staying in Upper Hutt for overnight accommodation while attending an exhibition elsewhere during the day. Really the only thing I did in Upper Hutt was to eat out for dinner on two nights. I can recommend a visit to Brewtown for a variety of meal and drink choices, and it is only a few minutes' drive from this accommodation.

Area around Upper Hutt excellent, and close proximity to Wellington, - Upper Hutt itself is an unattractive town, run down and generally not a place to visit. Highlight of Upper Hutt is Zras kebab cafe - great service and food.

Travelling with kids - we unexpectedly stumbled upon the newly upgraded Maidstone Max playground opposite the Mitre 10 and were BLOWN AWAY... easily the biggest and best public playground we have ever seen in our travels worldwide. SPECTACULAR.

Great communication from the host's. Clear instructions on how to get in. Easy access and parking. The room was nicely set up and is equipped with a small snack bar including a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as provided fruit, breakfast cereals, coffee and tea. The bathroom and shower were nice and clean. The water pressure is great and shampoo/body wash were provided. The WiFi is fast and easy to connect to.
The location is close to Upper Hutt City Centre with approximately 5 min drive time.
Stayed in a lot of hotels/motels etc around Wellington area due to work. And this one is good. Nice and quiet, bed was comfortable. You can also tell that the host really wants to provide an excellent service for his guest, which I appreciated. Better than some so called "four" and "five" star ones that I have stayed in around Petone and Lower Hutt.
Great location, over the road from Trentham Station, 10-minute drive to Upper Hutt or Wellington expressway.
On-site bottle shop and restaurant although we were too busy to use either.
Friendly staff, welcoming and helpful with room servicing, even milk and a chocolate bar on arrival.
Studio unit was very clean and tidy. It had a comfy bed and an excellent shower. Access to the complex and car park was easy. Restaurant, bar, and bottle store onsite. Location was very handy to Trentham, Silverstream, and Upper Hutt. Would be happy to stay there again.
beautiful property, clean. easy check in and check out process. designated parking. kitchenette- I didn’t realize there wasn’t a stove top. it has microwave, fridge and water kettle . good ac and heater. cute balcony. it is 30 min from Wellington.
My room was fantastic, nice and cozy. Everything was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Sky tv, wifi and heatpump are all top notch. Will definitely returning when I’m back in Upper Hutt!
The location of the motel is off the main road which allowed for quiet nights for sleeping. The people owners and staff were always friendly and helpful and the rooms were serviced daily.
Wonderful little place. Beautiful setting. Sufficiently close to Upper Hutt but far enough to feel in the countryside.
Warm, cosy and fully kitted out.
