Communication by Cassandra for self check in and bicycle storage was perfect. Nice design features. Short walk to beach. Not much happening in the locality, very quiet area. Breakfast is self service, breads and cereals with some juice plus teas and coffee. Private bathroom with good shower and nice fluffy towels.

We came with our daughter and dog for a short stay. It was an amazing place. Arrived in the dark and didn't know what to expect. But when we woke up to our sea and canal view with a beautiful terrace we were thrilled.

Lovely beach but out of season lacked atmosphere as many things were closed. We had really bad weather making it difficult to get out and about. Can only imagine a month earlier would have been ideal. We visited end of October.

Cute beach lodging.
Cute beach lodging. The family room number 1 does not have a window or door to the outside and is a bit dark. So if you are looking for lots of light avoid this room. The bathroom with a wash basin, shower and toilet is tiny. My shower didn't provide any water pressure at night or in the morning so I had to skip it. Mine was the only one with this problem. The polite staff apologized when I told them. That was all and I thought I paid a rate for a complete room. All was nicely clean.
The breakfast was very good and there was homemade cake as well. If you really need/ want to be close to the beach this may be a good choice.

The building are ugly and don’t follow a pattern.
The building are ugly and don’t follow a pattern. There is nothing to enjoy around the beach but surprisingly the people we saw there, most of them were young.
The beach looks nice but the wind didn’t help. We couldn’t enjoy it.
The food at the restaurants is kind expensive. We could find any place that would sell between 6,50€ to 8€ per person. I recommend the restaurant Costa do Mar. You can order cod fish for 13€ and it’s enough for two people. The other dishes I think are just for one person. The food is good there

We were pleasantly surprised on the evening of our arrivel...
We were pleasantly surprised on the evening of our arrivel to find there was a free concert on at the town centre, though it was very loud till 3am.The following evening there was to be another event but I think it got rained off.The beach is great at Mira and very safe. There are walks along the dunes and we found some really good restaurants along the lagoon.Mira is also close to Aviero and Coimbra.
the staff and location were both excellent, the ability to use the guesthouse bicycles were a bonus as it was easy to move around in the town without driving. Granny’s location to the beach was a simple 10 min walk . breakfast was continental style, was fresh and was an added bonus as we did not know what to expect. It was a short stay but would recommend Granny’s to other travelers as it met our needs and was exactly as the pictures and comments showed
Lovely cosy place, very nice owner. Fresh and clean room & bathroom (and huge!), balcony, comfy bed. Very nice common use kitchen with EVERYTHING you may need to prepare yourself a breakfast/dinner, there is also a common use terrace where you can enjoy your glass of wine. Free parking outside. The owner has taken care of every little thing – starting from free tea/coffee and ending with first aid kit. Around 10 min walk to the beach.
Exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff. They upgraded us without us asking. The guesthouse is in lnew condition. The nightly rate was very reasonable, fantastic breakfast! They have loaner bikes to ride around town. Quiet, clean and overall very charming. We will be back next time in Portugal. During our 16 day tour of Portugal this property and its owners/staff were by far the best place we stayed. Can’t wait to go back.
Great view across the lake. Very central, clean and spacious apartment with good kitchen and living space facilities. A real bargain. Checking in was easy at a local cafe, instructions sent prior to arrival. There is everything you could possible need locally on the doorstep: shops, restaurants, cafes, walk around the lake and of course the beach. We arrived by bike and there was secure storage available.
super friendly and sympathic staff, good and lovely breakfast even in Covid times, beautiful arrangement, complete new rooms and a beautiful roof terrace!
Not a shortcoming for the hotel, but to let you know: the surroundings are really quiet & peaceful and there are no options for grocery shopping or restaurants, you really need a car to go around!
Rooms are good, bathrooms are good. Terraces are great and the location is awesome (walking to a quiet beach but also within driving range of several towns and surfing beaches worth visiting).
The thing I liked most was how the staff is friendly and both helpful but also very laid back.
The location. A simple 12-15 minute bike ride takes you to Poço da Cruz Beach. Barrinha is a little further but easily reached by bike. Parking is terrible in ALL beach areas, so being this close yet in the total tranquility of the forest was amazing. Liliana is SUPER!! Thanks
The greatest stay so far in our Portugal trip. We could easily cook ourselves a meal in a very modern and huge kitchen. Could do our yoga and skipping rope sessions on the balcony. The owner is very kind and friendly. The beach is very close too. 100% recommend.
Was clean and near all local amenities. Appeared to be a family run place who were very nice and allowed us store our bikes in their garage. Room had a dressing table with mirror and balcony access with a lovely view of the lake. Walking distance from the beach.
We like the room and the locale It was a very calm and tranquil site . The place was very clean and well organised . Everything went well. As cyclists we loved that the hotel was justr at the end of the cross country cycle train from Figueira Da Foz
We have been to this hotel 4 times already and each time in a different "room". We love the fact that there is this indoor court with plants and tables, you can have your breakfast outside. It's quiet, but next to the market and close to the beach
