I liked how clean and spacious the place is. No false advertising, what you see on the internet is what you get.
What a brilliant concept! It accommodated all my needs.
What a brilliant concept! It accommodated all my needs. The owner was not hard to reach whenever I needed directions, the staff members took great care of me and the place is clean. If you are a nature lover, need a peaceful drive out of JHB and some alone time … I definitely recommend the place.

The owners were welcoming and friendly. The place is quiet and beautiful with beautiful mountain view.
The room was perfect, big and clean. There was loadshedding in the area but it did not affect us because other means were provided for us to have electricity.
We loved and enjoyed being served delicious breakfast. We will definitely go back there soon 🥰

Convenient, clean, well appointed, quiet (except with generator at times - load shedding) and very friendly staff. Great as a stop over to Sodwana. Only negative was the not so great pillows. Would definitely stay here again.
Dinner at Munch, only a few km’s away, was really good.

Piet Retief(Mkhondo) is a truck town... but the people are so lovely. Very helpful with good schools and dentists! We enjoyed eating at Munch, Mama Mia, Spur, Ilanga Decor and Wimpy. All provided good service and was clean and friendly. People are generally happy to live in PR.
We got to know the town fairly quickly, it's not that big, but unfortunately the Home Affairs was a downright disappointment... which was one of the reasons we were in town.
We felt fairly safe, we received good references for alterations, churches and food but they can do with a Woolies Foods! The Pick 'n Pay was well stocked and generally the suburbs were clean too. The main city area is pretty hectic with people, but we didn't feel violated at any time. God still lives in Piet Retief.

There is no tourist attractions in Piet Retief.
There is no tourist attractions in Piet Retief. We went there for a road race and stayed for the whole weekend. There was not much to see or do after the race. The restaurants are excellent though.
The location was a perfect half way point for us to stop on our drive to Kruger National Park from Durban. The house was great for our short stay. It had a large king bed that was very restful and very comfy couch, TV with netflix and a little kitchenette. It met all our needs and was comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this accommodation!. We are staying there again on our return to Durban.
Checking in went very smooth, safe parking, a nice clean room, a great location, and an exceptionally good breakfast (also for our vegan family member).
We felt very much at home here thanks to the exceptionally kind and welcoming staff: making this a memorable stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Piet Retief.
Room was comfortable and clean, lovely big shower ,great value for money .Breakfast was very good , we had a delicious supper that our host Jaco organized for us ,Vredenhoff Bed & Breakfast is a little gem in the heart of Piet Retief , conveniently located close to shops and restaurants .
Location is good - property is in close proximity to most shopping centra. The smart television allows guests to watch movies, etc. The bed was comfortable - one side could do with a side table though. Parking area close to room a plus. Security fence around property.
Safe and secure parking. Spacious and comfortable bedroom. sitting room as well as dining room. Kitchen and enough cupboards. The host went out of her way to help with Eskom load shedding and the further load shedding by the Piet Retief Municipality.
The host and hostess were present to welcome us and very helpful. We loved the room, comfortable seating on the verandah and in lounge areas, and all the birds in the garden. Very relaxing. Great breakfast and good recommendation for dinner.
Just 18 km from Piet Retief (Mkhondo) Guest Farm is situated in a valley beautiful scenery. Loved the farm pond caught some Bass and talapia great fun. Had friendly service from staff. Would recommend this place to family and friends.
The tranquility of the well kept garden and the well maintained facilities were refreshing. This coupled with the value for money makes this my first choice for accommodation in Piet Retief.
Great pitstop En Route to St Lucia, comfortable, clean room and good value for money, food very good at the hotel restaurant (Mama Mia) ,Very friendly atmosphere.
