There is nothing negative to say about our stay in Wilderness, other than I wish it could have been for longer! Our accomadation at Tranquil Shores, was simply perfect. Our host was so gracious and generous with advise for local activities and attractions. The room we stayed in was lovely and very tastefully decorated. Honestly this was such a lovely place to spend some time in.

The beaches and views from the top of Hoekwil or Map of Africa are too beautiful. The nature walks and general magical feeling of the place makes it an ideal holiday destination. It is close to the large town of George and Knysna with markets available on Saturdays, You would need a car to get around Wilderness.

One of the most stunning (and our favourite) beaches in the World. Plenty of good restaurants - great value. Loved the view from para gliding site but Map of Africa did not meet expectations. Very restful / having had busy 3 weeks beforehand. Restaurants - Las salinas; girls 👧 n the square; joplins steak house; pommodoro - all excellent and good value. Las S was our favourite; walking distance; good food and excellent service.

We stayed three nights in Wilderness and that was probably the perfect length of stay. It's a small town, but a very beautiful location. The long beach is nice, if you like that sort of thing. However, exploring the lagoon on an 'eco-cruise' is a 'must' and probably the most enjoyable adventure on our three-week stay in South Africa. Wilderness is also blessed with some good restaurants, 'The Girls On The Square' deserves an accolade, but 'Serendipity' is in a league of its own - one of the best restaurants I've visited anywhere in the world.

The lagoon and beach are easily accessible by foot. The is a good variety of reasonably priced restaurants providing good quality meals. Did appreciate knowing that there is a medical facility in town. Amazing opportunity for paragliding. Close to a number of beautiful championship quality golf courses. Enjoy exploring surrounding beaches and hiking.

This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property. It has a lovely pool with sunbeds and seating area to rear of property and the front of the property overlooks the most stunning beach. Little extras in the room make it absolutely fabulous. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly as is the family dog Duke. Would highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Loft for 2 nights during our 2 week holiday in South Africa and I wish we could have stayed for longer! This is one of the most stunning places we have ever stayed in, the views are absolutely breathtaking of Wilderness beach. The apartment itself is perfectly situated in the hills and is fully set up for everything you need. It’s clean, tidy and comfortable. The check in process with Koos was incredibly quick and easy. We can highly recommend the loft, I hope we can return again in the future!

Wilderness is one of my favourite places in SA and it was great to stay at Dune Beach House, a wonderful place right on the beach. Most rooms overlook the ocean which is worth the money. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Gary, also when I had a special request, thank you so much! The breakfast was fantastic, with starting off with a great big plate of fruits. We also got great tips on what to do in Wilderness, so we went kayaking which really was a wonderful experience.

Mes Amis is a beautiful guest house, with very comfortable, gorgeously appointed rooms, in one of the most beautiful spots in South Africa. Paul and the team were excellent in every way, making us feel completely at home and going out of there way to ensure we are comfortable and well looked after. The house has direct access to the stunning Wilderness beachfront, and is perfectly situated to enjoy both sunrise and sunset with fantastic coffee or a glass of wine. Absolutely recommended!

The accommodation is really upmarket, clean, large enough for a small and close to the beach. Everything we required and more was available for a great self-catering holiday. The accommodation is close to shops and some of the best restaurants South Africa has to offer. Being centrally located on the Garden Route, Plett, Knysna, George, Mosselbay is within an hours drive. Nothing really bad can be said regarding the accommodation and Estee is a wonderful host.

Beautiful guesthouse in a small, charming town - def get a room with a beach view. Lovely owner who notified me quickly when I left my computer behind! Very cute, friendly dogs and a pretty cat. Thoughtful little touches like a piece of chocolate on the bed and cookies in a jar. I hope to come back and spend more time in Wilderness one day, and would definitely stay here when I do.

We loved the staff but also the design and the location right at the beach. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! We could see dolphins every morning during breakfast. Also, the food and the products in the bathroom were high quality. In general, I would say the best hotel we stayed in this trip!
