Featuring a terrace, a restaurant as well as a bar, Legend Hotel is located in the centre of Cologne, 400 metres from Museum Ludwig. The hotel was in an excellent location - very close to Cologne train station and the old town. The hotel was very clean and modern. We were upgraded to a loft room which was a nice surprise! The unexpected sandwiches, coffee and juice for breakfast were delicious!! The front staff were friendly and helpful. We would come again when in Cologne.

A 5-minute walk from Cologne Cathedral and a 9-minute walk from Cologne Central Station, this hotel lies on a side street in the Old Town. It has air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. Rarely have I been so impressed by a hotel’s service, cleanliness and comfort. The staff was extremely helpful, starting by providing directions and recommendations for where to go based on the time I had available. When I mistakenly thought the sink had a defect and reported it, the staff came up immediately to try and rectify it. He explained to me how the drainage worked. The breakfast spread was also superb, with a daily homemade dish. For the morning I was there, it was an excellent French toast. The home was compact, clean and comfortable. The lighting and shower systems were also intuitive to use. There was also a nice minibar, though I didn’t use it. All in all, I felt that Stern am Rathaus was the highlight of my stay in Cologne!

The interior (and exterior for that matter) of the hotel is greatly designed. The bar/cafe was also very nice although we visited only for some minutes.

Set within 300 metres of Cologne Cathedral and 500 metres of Ludwig Museum, Hotel Sandmanns am Dom features rooms in Cologne. We had a lovely stay here. The location is everything! We were off the train and at the hotel within 5 minutes (or less) walking and it is also right around the corner from the Cathedral - walk 1 minute and you're there! We came to town to explore the Christmas Markets and it was a great base for us. It is a small hotel and nothing fancy but it was very clean and comfortable. We did not eat breakfast there as there are many amazing bakeries around. I would 100% recommend that you book as I know I will stay again if I ever find myself back in Cologne!
