The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate, just a few minutes’ walk from Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park and the Meadows and within walking distance... Nice quiet location, direct public transport to city centre, 2 minutes walking, very good breakfast. I went there with my wife who was celebrating her 50th birthday. The girl at the reception caught this and the next day we found a sweet gift accompanied by a card.

This elegant 4-star Victorian hotel offers luxurious rooms featuring iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, sherry and shortbread. Our 2nd stay at the Kildonan Lodge Hotel, our 1st being over 6 years ago. Even had the same, super room - #8! Still a very friendly & pleasant place to stay. Friendly staff, super location with bus lines right outside the front door to get into town. Can always ask for help or information.

Just under 2 miles from Edinburgh city centre and Edinburgh Rail Station, International Guest House is a traditional Scottish property offering a free Wi-Fi throughout. Excellent guest house! The beds were super comfy, our room was clean and elegant. Despite it is a very busy street by buses, inside our room we didn’t hear a noise from outside. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This traditional, family-run hotel is 2 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the city centre. It offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, and free private parking on site. Breakfast and location was fine.
