The property is perfectly located. Although it is located in the city center, it is also in front of the Reykjavik bay, which is a great spot. The building is beautifully decorated and feels very warm and comfortable. Rooms are very nice as well. Staff is very helpful and nice.

Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes. The assistant people, the place, the room. Everything at the place was amazing. I truly recommend.

Great location - walking distance to all the main sites in Reykjavik and to a great range of restaurants from cheap to more luxurious. Our apartment had the harbour view and it was so peaceful and beautiful to watch the old harbour from our window. It was also an easy pick up spot for taxis. Highly recommend.
