The hotel was spotless and the design choices, wonderfully quirky, like a Timothy Oulton store. I found the fixtures in the rooms, surprisingly luxe for a small business. It has clearly been renovated recently and everything works perfectly. Breakfast was faultless. It's everything you would expect to see in a continental breakfast. The hotel location is a 25-30 minute breezy walk away from the city centre in a nice residential neighbourhood where you would not feel harassed by touts. When I asked if I could extend my check out time to catch an evening flight because I was having bad pains in my neck and back owing to the grueling 1.5 day train ride from Frankfurt to Florence (bad weather and strikes caused Lufthansa to cancel my flight 3 times and I couldn't miss a wedding in Florence) the manager was kind enough to allow me to extend for free out of compassion. You can't ask for anything more from a small but incredibly well run business that places customer care over the almighty dollar.

Located in a quiet area near Florence's Stadium, Hotel Ungherese Small Luxury Hotel is a 10-minute bus ride from the historic centre. The hotel has its own furnished terrace and garden. The room is nice and spacious unexpectedly. I like the ambiance, feeling good working at the courtyard in the morning.

Surrounded by a relaxing 6000-m² garden from the late 1800s, Villa Neroli is a 10-minute drive from the historic centre of Florence. It features an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi. This property is stunning, in a gorgeous location on the edge of the city and we enjoyed beautiful rural walks with beautiful villas set amongst vineyards and olive groves. Only 20 euro taxi to a rather busy florence and we were so happy we stayed here and not in the city. The gardens and pool were divine, the staff friendly and helpful. We mostly ate in local restaurants and found great options. It was lovely getting a more local experience away from the touristy city centre. I can’t fault this property. Our room and it’s outlook were amazing.

Located 2 km from the centre of Florence, Hotel Emma Small Luxury Hotel is a friendly, family-run hotel with a terrace overlooking the city's rooftops. It has excellent transport links. Very nice and very clean small hotel with very friendly stuff. Good breakfast..

Located in a historical 19th-century building, Hotel Astro Mediceo offers classic-style rooms with a minibar, 200 metres from Florence’s Cionfo Binlecure Station. The handsome gentelman in the reception was so kind and helpful. He advised what to do and where to go in Florance. He even gave me a bus ticket.After checking out, I safely left my luggage there until five oclock. The beautiful woman in the reception was also cheerful and polite. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. The room has a private balcony.

Offering rooms with a view over the Tuscan hills, Hotel Villa La Stella is set on the hills of Fiesole, in a quiet area 5 km from the centre of Florence. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful. Although it is far from the city centre, location has very nice view and calm location. Transport is easy.

Hotel Meridiana offers air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV. Set in Florence, it is a 15-minute drive from Peretola Airport and is well connected by public transport to the historic centre. Very clean, friendly staff, easy check in and check out. Great value for stay

Located in Florence’s Campo di Marte quarter, Hotel Villa Il Castagno has a garden with terrace. It offers classically furnished accommodation with a flat-screen TV and private bathroom. Very good location, very close to the histociral center of Florence and with beautifull and so italian inner courtyard and balcony. The staff is perfect italian. They create the exceptional atmosphere. Even cat-theHoste was right on time and on place. So kind and persistant in order to get some food🙂
