Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful and went over and beyond helping me when I needed to book for another few nights even though it was a busy time and close to check out. It was only 2 mins to station and very handy to different tourist spots. Kombini and restaurants nearby.

In a prime location in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO is located 1.2 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 1.1 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.3 km from Gion Shijo... Great staff, nice buzz around the reception/coffee shop/bakery area. We made sure we had a big enough room to fit our suitcases and it was perfect. Fab to have the option to eat in the hotel restaurant and a roof top drink. Fab location to walk around Kyoto. We did about 20,000 steps every day!

Set in Kyoto, 500 metres from Shoren-in Temple, Waka Heian Shirakawa Hotel features views of the city. I enjoyed the quiet area, the staff were really nice, and the room was prefect.

Ideally set in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Miru Kyoto Gion is located 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station, 1.2 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.9 km from Heian Shrine. The best accomodation we had in Japan. Checking in was very simple and done a day prior so that everything will be easy on the day you arrive. Stupendously clean. Very accomodating staff and very helpful as well. They sorted out our luggage issues 😂. Rooms sizes are very adequate and spacious, compared to most hotels in major Japanese cities. Having the laundry was a big help for people who were in japan for a few days or weeks and The best part is, its free of charge. And don’t forget to have your free brewed coffee with croissant for your breakfast 😬. Will definitely consider coming back on our next trip in Kyoto!

Located in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, Gion Elite Terrace provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The bed - most comfortable ever, also for my husband (and he would usually prefer a firmer madress than me. The bathroom, including the spacious bathtub. The dimmer switches everywhere to allow you to have a relaxing ambience, even in the bathroom, and the blackout curtains to help deal with jetlag. The fact that everything was simple but very high quality. We have stayed in both 'fancier' hotels and in places with more stars, but this was so comfortable and hospitable - simple, quality comfort. The staff, excellent English and helpful with everything, including securing us s table at a specific Michelin restaurant we hoped to visit.

Spacious and clean! The location is great and the staff was very kind. Will definitely recommend and book again when visiting Kyoto again.
