Hotels in Kotor Old Town, Kotor

Opened in June 2012, Boutique Hotel Hippocampus is located within the UNESCO-protected Old Town of Kotor. It offers free Wi-Fi and a restaurant with a roof terrace overlooking San Giovanni Walls. We had booked a double room, but my husband wanted to smoke, so we asked for a room with a balcony. The staff helped us with this and we were lucky to get the suite which was wonderful. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was really nice - we had a montenegro breakfast with cheese pie and some of the local stuff. Right in the middle of the city center, a lot of restaurants and cats.

Situated on a Maritime museum square in a building from 13th century, that once belonged to Kotor’s first bishop, this tastefully restored hotel features individually decorated rooms with stylish wood... We loved our stay at Monte Cristo, which was a wonderful base to explore Kotor Old Town from. We opted for the airport transfer from Dubrovnik which was incredibly helpful, and right from the off the staff were attentive, engaging and polite. We learned some history about the Kotor Bay region during the drive to the hotel, which I personally really enjoyed. In terms of the hotel itself it's located in the perfect spot in Kotor Old Town, away from the main square, in a little back courtyard, which gives you a bit of respite from the busy crowds. Hotel Monte Cristo is fantastic, I'd give it a 10/10 and would love to return in future! Highlights 1. Breakfast - this was included in the price of our room, due to being a Genius Lvl 2 member, and I'd not ordinarily opt for breakfast, but it was a great spread of continental selection i.e. meats, cheeses, breads, olives, cucumber, capsicum. As well as cereals, pancakes, mini croissants (amazing!) and loads of fresh fruit. The watermelon was brilliant. 2. Staff - I need to shout the staff out, they were so helpful all of the time, went out of their way to help with heavy luggage, housekeeping was always incredibly clean and efficient. 3. The Rroom - we stayed in a Standard Double Room, located directly adjacent to the main reception which initially made me a bit aprehensive for noise/disturbance, but it was totally not and issue and once you've closed the windows and shutters it's surprisingly well soundproofed. The bed was mega comfy, we had a cute view of the courtyard below which was nice, and the ensuite bathroom was handy with your useful amenities in terms of hairdryer, soaps etc. The room, like the hotel, is styled in a vintage/old-fashioned manner which we both really found to be part of the magic and it felt sort of fairytale-esque, at the risk of sounding like a prick haha.

Exceptional hotel in a historical building in one of Kotor's most charming squares. The building itself, the interior decoration, and the location in the heart of the old town, restaurants, squares and shops make staying in this hotel simply out of this world. Our room was perfect and had a spectacular view of the bay. It was the suite at the 3rd floor  beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and spacious. The same for the bathroom, which was well-equipped and very spacious. Everything was spotless. Excellent breakfast options and delicious food. The team was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to assist and satisfy. Great customer service. Kristina at the front desk, in particular, made our stay memorable and we thank her for her kind attention, assistance and excellent customer service. We hope to return one day, and we highly recommend staying at Astoria Kotor for unforgettable moments.

This hotel is located in a central plaza of the historical town of Kotor so from our room we had a full view of a main old town square. It is a quite unique and special situation, feels like being in a midst of set design for a medieval period movie.

Amazing hotel, right at the heart of kotor. Rooms are massive, breakfast is decent. Parking is a bit far (say 5 minutes from the hotel)

Hotel Marija is located within the city walls of Kotor, a Unesco Heritage Site. Set in a traditional stone building, the hotel features free Wi-Fi, laundry services and a 24-hour reception. Wonderful staff with warm welcome at reception, unbeatable location in the heart and within the narrow streets of old Town, clean and comfortable bed and shower. Overall, it was a great experience.

Hotel Villa Duomo, located in the town of Kotor, offers studios and apartments with antique furniture, original features and free wired internet. There is a garden and a terrace. Great hotel in the beautifully building. Great staff and very kindly. Amazing location, in the hard of the old city.

Surrounded by St. Luka, St. Nikola and St. Ozana Churches, Hotel Rendez Vous is set on the main square of the UNESCO protected Old Town of Kotor. It offers a restaurant with a terrace and free Wi-Fi. The hotel was better than I imagined, the breakfast was amazing, the location was very near from the bus station (10 min walk) where you can take a bus to all Montenegro and neighbor countries… it was an amazing trip and the staff was very friendly and helpful, thank you all
