With an outdoor pool and a garden, GuestHouse 1109 is located in the centre of Maputo, 20 minutes’ walk from the beach. It offers on suite accommodation and free WiFi throughout. The staff, Mr Arthur, the cleaning staff and security were impeccable. Everyone made sure we had a pleasant stay. The location is perfect The view from the terrace is lovely too. I'm very happy and I will definitely come back.

Forget standards for East Africa, this would be a great hostel anywhere in the world. Super clean, very friendly and helpful staff, great amenities and very safe and central location. Reliable hot water, but you probably wont use it with Maputo temps regularly over 30-35. Don't even bother looking for another place in Maputo, this is number 1 for a reason.
