Dioclecio was a very friendly and helpful host and his responses when we messaged him were instant.. Everything was really clean and we had everything we needed. A very beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend it.

Featuring a balcony with mountain views, a garden and a terrace, Mountain Eco Shelter 6 can be found in Funchal, close to Funchal Ecological Park and 14 km from Marina do Funchal. This was an incredible location and beautifully presented cabin. Cabin was cozy, well.equipped, quiet and felt private. Lovely sitting on the balcony listening to the wind in the trees and birdsong. All very clean and the bed was very comfy, with memory foam bed and pillows. There are amazing hikes that you can do from the front door, such as PR3 and another trail up into the mountains. We enjoyed these more than other hikes in the area as they were so quiet- we only saw a handful of other people on them.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!
