Well located in the centre of Funchal, Barceló Funchal Oldtown provides air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a fitness centre. This is one of the best hotels that we've ever been to. The hotel staff was super friendly to us and other guests, the location is amazing (exactly in the old town next to cozy restaurants and the promenade), the room was spacious and stylish, the breakfast was excellent, and the pool and the bar at the rooftop were also really pleasant. I only have nice things to say about the Barcelo hotel! Tip: If you're looking for a quick yet inexpensive way to get from the airport to the hotel, consider a shuttle bus that's right next to the exit from the airport. As of Oct 2023, it's just 5 euro per person (or 8 euro for a return trip), and it'll take you to a bus stop (number 6) that's really close to the Barcelo hotel. Note that they only accept cash in the bus.

We loved our spacious room with a sea and swimming pool views. Very professional and attentive to all detailes stuff. The most beautiful skyroof terrace and swimming pool ever! All restaurants serve great food for reasonable prices. We travel the world around and this amazing hotel could manage to surprise us!

Located in scenic Madeira Island, Pestana CR7 Funchal results of a partnership between Pestana Hotels and world-renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. My stay at CR7 was absolutely amazing! The location is unbeatable, with a stunning sea view, even with cruise liners in sight. The rooms were spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided complimentary drinks and assisted with everything from car rentals to parking. The culinary experience was outstanding – freshly made omelets and eggs showcased the chef's skill, and the overall freshness and taste were exceptional. I highly recommend CR7 for a perfect blend of luxury, breathtaking views, and top-notch service. It made my time in Funchal truly unforgettable!

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. Location was fantastic, balcony was huge! Staff very accommodating.

Overlooking the Bay of Funchal, this well designed hotel provides luxury accommodation within Santa Caterina Park. I really enjoyed chilling music at breakfast that was available until 11 and I find it particularly important. Beautiful view from the window as well as close to the old town.
