Located in Bangkok and with The Jim Thompson House reachable within a 4-minute walk, Daraya Boutique Hotel has concierge services, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a shared... staff were exceptional (doorman, front desk, housekeeping). our luggage were already brought up to the room while we were checking in at the front desk! lady at the front desk also brought us up to the room, asked us for our flight details and advised us on the best time to leave for airport on departure day. room was quiet/soundproof (very important!!), spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. aircon and shower (flow and temperature) were great as well. a very good 4 nights stay!

My appreciation to the reception team, concierge team, staff who welcome and help you in front of the hotel, the housekeeping services was excellent & great. The daily buffet breakfast option/s is definitely on top of my list. 😊 We tried having dinner at the Stock Room too and their ala carte options tasted really good, especially the pad thai. In-room dining options were also yummy. Another thing I liked is the ambience of the hotel, especially the lobby. It’s location is also superb, just a few minutes from the malls. You can take a cab or you can walk if you’re fond of walking. The area is clean, with lots of trees in the vicinity and doesn’t get crowded. The staff were all helpful and courteous. Our room was huge and the bed was comfortable. They cleaned the room everyday. We also loved the pool area, it was shaded which is the best set up when you want to avoid the sun. 😉 There’s a portion in it too where you can get a tan or you can opt to use the sun loungers. Best part is that it wasn’t crowded. My son and I enjoyed our pool time. We are missing Kimpton already and would definitely stay there again when we go to Bangkok.

Nine Design Place is set in the Siam district in Bangkok, 656 feet from Jim Thompson's House (Museum). The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen cable TV. Great complimentary breakfast that they varied across our stay. The owner and her staff lead by Mr Noy were wonderful - anticipating the needs of guests and kindly taking care of me when I fell ill. Only 10 or so rooms, so we really appreciated the personalised service. The complimentary use of the coffee/tea machine in the lobby - as well as water and juice - really made us feel at home.
