Sleek, modern décor and comfortable rooms can be enjoyed at Puerto Mercado Hotel, 100 metres from Mercado del Puerto Cultural Centre. WiFi is free. We initially chose this hotel due to its perfect location - walking distance from the port, since we travelled by ferry, and fast internet. The internet speed was excellent, no interruptions. WiFi worked really well in our room as well as in the lobby. Upload speed was more than 40 mbps and download exceeding 30 mbps - webinars and video conferences worked really smoothly. The room was very comfortable, the view was enjoyable - we saw the rooftops and some ferries in the distance - thus we were able to do some shipspotting. We adored the fountain in the small garden - it helped us fall asleep and calmed us. In the morning, we were greeted by some beautiful birds, but they were quiet. TV has a large selection of channels, even English speaking ones. Breakfasts were absolutely fantastic! Every time there was a new element, the variety was incredible. We would like to thank the team for their hard work! There have always been plenty of wonderful fresh delicious treats that kept us full until evening. Moreover, there was a supermarket "Frog" just 10 meters from the hotel that accepted both dollars and pesos where we also found some tasty food. All hotel staff were very friendly to us - the gentlemen at the reception helped us a lot and the ladies who were administering the cafeteria and exceptional cleanliness in the hotel were very hospitable towards us. We will definitely stay here again!

Only 200 metres from Solis Theatre, Hotel Palacio offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in central Montevideo. The Harbour Market in the old city is 1 km away. Absolutely the perfect spot to wander the historic centre and to walk parts of La Rambla along waterfront. The staff is lovely! Room was big with a great view. Many cafes in area as well as a food stores. Small fridge in room as well as an eating area on check in floor that supplies coffee. Small rooftop area to enjoy your coffee and the views.

Easy to reach Tres Cruces bus station by taxi (lots of taxis within an easy short walk). Good hotel with a good breakfast - thank you.

Don is an exclusive boutique hotel with art deco architecture and contemporary interiors. Really cool location right opposite the fantastic old market. The room was beautiful. Stunning in a supercool designer kinda way. Super comfy bed. Great omelette. Wonderful staff member on reception.
