We stayed for just one night, but it was the perfect start to our honeymoon. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the shower amazing! If you can, dinner at La Colombe is a must.

Providing free WiFi throughout the property, Akamah Estate is located in Cape Town, 4.6 km from Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and 7 km from World of Birds. The location was fantastic, the venue was quiet and had a potential of being a home away from home if it was well equipped to be a hotel or guest house. Security is shady, one has to rely on the maintenance boys employed there for safety. Our room was beautiful on our arrival but had no hangers and an unfunctioning aircon. The bathroom was big and airy but the shower was badly structured.

We got room no 7 which is not as in the floorplan on the website. My guess is that they have included part of the previous terrasse in the room, creating a suite with a sitting room with sofa, chars and a small table with chars for example cardplaying. The view is not as a extensive in this room as shown on the web. You see the mountain but the main building blocks The Valley view. But the view you have from all facilities, pool, breakfast etc. the room is fantastic
