Situated in the suburb of Melville in Johannesburg, Lucky Bean Guesthouse features a lush garden and an outdoor pool. The guest house is 1 km from the Country Club. I only had one night in Johannesburg, my first ever in South Africa. I’m so incredibly happy I stayed at Lucky Bean. I have traveled quite a bit in my life, all over the world, but never experienced such hospitality before. Before, during and after my stay at Lucky bean guest house Conway and Natasha were making sure I was looked after, safe and happy. They arranged airport pickup (Derick the driver was great!) as well as restaurant reservation (I arrived late after canceled flights etc) as well as an Uber getting back to the guest house. I felt completely spoilt. The staff at Licky bean were lovely as well and I could tell they really enjoy their workplace. Great vibes and generous breakfast. I couldn’t recommend a place more. Next time I’m back in Jburg there’s no chance I would stay anywhere else.

Offering comfortable guest rooms with private garden and free parking, this bed and breakfast is located in the suburb of Melville. Free WiFi is provided. This place is a hidden gem. Everything is perfect. The beds are firm but cosy, the breakfast is excellent and filling in the well lit and spacious dining room. The breads and pastries are home made and there is always someone around to help or assist. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The room has everything you need - hot shower, blow dryer, tv, strong wifi and is so quiet to sleep! Shops and restaurants are close by. Walking distance to parks and Uber into town or to the mall easy and well priced. As a first time traveller to Joburg I wondered about staying in the suburb instead of the city but this is the way to do it in South Africa. You can walk around this area and take day trips into town or to Soweto. It was an excellent first place to stay. You will not be disappointed I promise you.

3 km from Parkview Golf Club, The Melville Quarters is a recently renovated property set in Johannesburg and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. 1) This is a spacious, very nice property, with 3 large ensuite bedrooms, with king sized beds 2) The beds are very comfortable, and the property is very quiet in the evenings. And Melville centre which is 5-10 mins walk away does have a strip of bars, and restaurants etc. 3) The area is safe and the property is very secure 4) This property is in a good central location. Melville is about 10-15 mins drive from Wits Univ, and the CBD. 5) There were no power cuts in the 7 days that we were there 6) The parking is secure, within the electrified fence of the property and electric gates, also the parking area is spacious 7) There is a supermarket and fast food outlet about 5 mins walk away 8) The owners live over the wall in the next house in the street, so that you have complete privacy 9) The owners Pierre and Corlien are very helpful In summary this was very good value for money

Located in Johannesburg, 2.8 km from Parkview Golf Club, 8.7 km from Johannesburg Stadium and 10 km from Apartheid Museum, Happy colourful cottage provides accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The host was nice and welcoming. the location is perfect and safe. the place was clean and the host attended us whenever we needed.

"La Couronne" is situated in Johannesburg, 9 km from Apartheid Museum and 9 km from Gold Reef City Casino, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. The hosts are amazing: friendly and helpful, and with a great attitude. The place is very illuminated, has a beautiful private veranda and everything works great. Location is also TOP with beautiful sightseeing of the city Skyline.
