Our host Renata served an excellent breakfast with local honey and jams as well as delisious cakes! Different types of coffee and freshly pressed juices are being offered every morning. Super nice!

We stayed one night on our way to Croatie and we had a lovely short stay at San Michele. It's a very nice and quite place to stay, the room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was realy delicious. It also a perfect spot to stay for a few nights to visit the beautiful city of Vicenza and the lovely Villa la Rotonda which is just around the corner.

Everything was provided to make our stay very comfortable, delicious and beautiful. The owner, Anna, chooses the best in quality in everything she offers her guests. Comfortable beds and linens, great shower, healthy and delicious vegan breakfasts, and an eco-friendly approach that is in tune with good health and stewardship of the environment. She is an excellent vegan chef and everything is presented with a lovely aesthetic. She is very kind, generous and willing to help--she gave us two big umbrellas to take for a rainy day of exploring. The location was excellent for exploring Vicenza and the renovation of their farm building into an inn is top-notch.

This charming farm/vineyard stay is the true taste of Italian countryside life, and with a modern, comfortable room that leaves you well rested and ready to enjoy the day. The view from the front of the farm house is amazing as you gaze out at the valley, the vineyard, the cyprus trees, and the mountains in the distance. Dominico is the perfect host and puts out a beautiful breakfast with coffee and eggs as you like them. This place is a quick drive to beautiful downtown Vicenza in about 10 minutes, or a 45 minute drive to Venice. There are hiking trails within a walking distance to the farm where you can explore the Colli Berici.

A basic, comfortable agriturismo located in a beautiful valley at the edge of the Colli Berici (Berici Hills south of Vicenza) provides an inexpensive lodging option outside the city while visiting the Vicenza area. The agriturismo is right on the bike trail between Vicenza and Lago di Fimon, a small scenic lake in a sleepy valley. The rooms and the breakfast were basic (coffee, juice, homemade breakfast cake, yogurt, bread) but fine (although the homemade pear preserves were outstanding!). The owner was friendly. Although the room is on a working farm, the working farm experiences of some agriturismos are not available here, just a simple, quiet, rural setting and a comfortable, clean, inexperience place to stay. A fine experience!

I stayed there because it was close to my destination the next day, plus, I always try to stay at agriturismos to support the local farmers. The property was secure with a gate though the area seemed plenty safe. I was showed to my room quickly and was delighted by the sparse but local/ethnic furnishings. Particularly the gorgeous antique furniture pieces that were so lovingly kept. I'm don't speak Italian and the hosts don't speak much English, but we figured it out! Just a heads up for anyone else in the same situation.
