Brendan and his partner were so accommodating. They were quick to respond to messages and wanted to accommodate our early check in, which they did and were happy to answer any questions. The facilities on the property far exceeded any expectations and they really thought about every comfort and amenity possible. We stayed in Pale Chanting cottage; it has a hot tub, an outdoor bath, outdoor and indoor fire place, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and stunning surroundings. Everything from warm throw blankets, extra fire wood, shower gel and kitchen utensils were supplied. For the price paid, I felt we were spoilt rotten. I will 100% be returning regularly to this property for a break away from the city and even a romantic escape.

The tranquil cottage is set on a beautiful little olive farm/ small holding, yet in town and walking distance from restaurants and shops.

The breakfasts were great as was the service. The staff is a very well organized, efficient and very friendly team. We loved the animals around us, especially Otto, Kabouter and Dinga, the dogs. The natural setting was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this venue.

Arriving at the dessert wind is like landing on another planet. But a very friendly one! the location is stunning. The staff is super kind and utmost service driven. The room is amazing. the view is even better. do bring a 4wd car. the roads are gravel and beyond. The self drive safari is also a great tour. lots to see and enjoy. We were lucky after the rain floods. the roads had just been fixed. well done! out of all the nights we spend on farms worldwide game or cattle, this was probably the most efficient and dedicated one. Everything you need is here. You wonder how to switch on the lights: the switch is right in front of you. Where to hang your towel: perfectly next to the shower. and the list goes on and on. Do bring your own food. You can braai your life away or cook on the perfect double gas cooker. And bring a camera. preferably with a long tele lens. you'll need it and have fun with it. And try to drive up the steep signal hill. there's room to turn on the top. We thought it was part of the self drive. turns out it wasn't. Our rental Hilux had no issues and in hindsight we maybe should have skipped that road...

The central location made it easy to visit nearby towns Montagu, Robertson. McGregor and many wine farms. Our cottage had an absolutely spectacular view of the mountains. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need. The hosts were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay perfect.
