Mohaonui Farmstay offers a cottage unit 6 km from Otorohanga township. The private, self-contained cottage features a kitchenette and a private bathroom. Our hosts were wonderful. Their cottage was clean, well stocked and lovely. They were helpful with information and we lived our farm tour.

This was the best property we stayed in on our 2 week road trip around Nth Island of NZ. And we stayed at some posh places (5 Star, etc.). Blown away with this farm stay. Such a lovely people. Great accommodation with every amenity. So peaceful and relaxing. If you're visiting Waitomo caves of anywhere in the area - Stay here. It's beautiful

Country View Sleepout, a property with a garden and a terrace, is situated in Hamilton, 13 km from Waikato Stadium, 14 km from Hamilton Gardens, as well as 27 km from Mystery Creek Events Centre. Nice room, good shower, parking in front of the room, good location

Featuring accommodation with a saltwater pool, Rural Gordonton Sleepout is set in Hamilton. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. Very tidy, great location and the bowl of fresh fruit on the way in was a fantastic gesture. Having met up with the Labradoodle and their owner (one of the hosts) after dinner out we were even happier with our choice.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Matamata Country B&B is set in Matamata. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Loved the fresh baked bread, slice/brownie on arrival and assortment of fruit, eggs, yoghurt, spreads and cereals for breakfast. There was a variety of appliances I didn't expect there to be such as a rice cooker, egg steamer and Dyson hair dryer, and the accomodation itself was clean, modern and tastefully decorated. It was frosty when we stayed and we were perfectly warm inside. Perfect location for visiting Hobbiton on an overnight trip!

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Port Waikato, Te Karaka Lodge is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. Everything is perfect about this place. The road from Auckland to the property was a bit rocky but totally worth the trouble. It is such a quiet relaxing hideaway and this is what I have always envisioned of NZ. Aaron and Danielle are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcomed and at ease the whole time. The dinner prepared by Chef Dom is also superb. Have to come back again for a longer stay!

All the facilities are stylish and high spec, and everything is pristine clean. If you’re able to get up around 7.30/8am, you can help Neil feed the family’s alpacas and goats. And there are fantail birds filling the pine trees by the room pods, and fully grown (and still alive) kauri trees on the farm; it’s very special here.

28 km from Hamilton Gardens in Ngaruawahia, Perma Ridge Farmstay offers accommodation with access to a hot tub and spa facilities. Great hosts, very helpful (I had problem with my car and I got all help which I needed urgently), very clean place. Spa ready to use anytime, kitchen free to use anytime, good talks with owners, very chill place:)
