We needed a place to overnight in Maun. Not being familiar with the town, I chose based on amenities. Good thing, too! February is quite hot in Botswana so we were grateful for both the air conditioning and the refrigerator in our room.

We chose The New Mall Guesthouse for the nights in Maun at the beginning and end of our holiday and inbetween safaris. We had already stayed here in 2019 and liked the location: it is very short distance to the airport (7-8 min walking), to some shops and banks. The guesthouse is simple but clean. The staff is very friendly. This time, the receptionist was particularly helpful when we had some trouble with our flight booking. We could leave part of our luggage at the guesthouse for some periods and it was always safely returned to us. We would definitely stay again if we are back in Maun.
