A friendly and helpful host who appears at your side with the answer just as you are trying to work out what the bird in the tree is. Loved our stay and wished we had stayed for longer. If I return to this area, I'd def try to book one of the wooden villas in the upper area of the lodge. The horseback rising into sunset at playa hermosa was a great recommendation.

The staff here were all so friendly and helpful and constantly keeping the place clean. The hostel also had good security (at the front gate). It had a good vibe to it and was a nice place to relax. Kitchen space was excellent, lots of fridges and places to store your food and a really good recycling system. Plenty of tables to have your food at.

The views are breathtaking, right in the jungle with ocean views. Ben and Nate are great hosts, they made us feel very welcome and even had some delicious banana bread for us with check in and every morning fresh cut up fruit to make smoothies. I really enjoyed the lovely pool. I would swim in it at night to cool down before bed then have a cool shower with the fan blowing on me and I slept very comfortably in the heat.

For me, this hostel had everything. Relaxed, very friendly staff, nice comfortable rooms and beds, fine showers, nice common area to chill and especially the kitchen was amazing. Lots of space and equipment, very clean and organized. The hostel is very close to the beach and also supermarkets or restaurants are in walking distance.
