The bungalow was beautifully decorated, fully equipped (incl. aircon, water filter and European power plugs) and comfortable. The setting is in the middle of a tropical garden. The plants and the distances to the other accommodations provide privacy, even on the big terrace (with hammock etc.). We stayed only for a couple of days, but we felt invited to stay much longer. There is also a pool which our kids enjoyed a lot.

Location was perfect, just in front of the beach and so close to town. We had a view of the ocean and woke up with the sound of waves. The room is very simple but has everything you need for a short stay.

Bonus were the trails connected to the property. The buildings, and history were way beyond what we expected. (They exceeded the pictures on-line) The beach was quiet and very relaxing. We really enjoyed venturing about a block to the "town" and experiencing the happy atmosphere of this gathering place. A couple of great restaurants and grocery store. The food at the resort was great as well.

The whole place is very quiet and peaceful. We had the additional breakfast on two days and enjoyed it. We were comfortable and slept well. Bridget and Leon are great hosts. We were able to take our dogs with us and they enjoyed their stay also!

The last 1 km or so to the lodge is unpaved but absolutely doable without a 4x4. I stayed in the "Montezuma" villa and it felt like you were in a tree house. Howler monkeys and lots of birds in the tree that you can watch while relaxing on the patio. Thomas is a very warm-hearted, lovely host. He even came to fetch me when there were animals around. Best accommodation during my stay in Costa Rica.
