Jose is just a great host and very kind person! He made our stay incredibly warm and cozy! He is very passionate about nature and willing to share his knowledge with guests of hotel. We went with him at night to feed deers and observe nightlife of other animals. Location of hotel is perfect for staying before or after visiting Ciudad Encantada. Really quiet and relaxing place. Room was clean. Dinner was tasty at hotels restaurant.

Hostal Cortes is located in the center of Cuenca, just 300 meters from the bus station and a 10-minute walk away we can find the famous Casas Colgadas.

This guest house offers traditional-style rooms with free Wi-Fi, a TV and a private bathroom.

Great location in the new part of town, for it is lively too, with a short walk to the historic area. I was concerned about safety with the hotel being so close to the train station but no worries for the area is safe. I also worried that it was a hostel, but it is not; it is a hotel. Be ready to climb, for all the historic sites require a vertical hike. Don't miss the tunnel tour, which requires a reservation at the municipal tourist office.

Quiet. The bed & pillows were comfortable. There is armoire with some hangers; always a plus. There is hot water, soap & towels. It's a 20-minute walk to the bus station. There is a TV & air-conditioner but I didn't use either. One can catch the bus to the train station at the Cervantes bus stop; about 15 minutes from the hostel. Plaza Mayor and Cuenca Cathedral is a good 35-minute walk, mostly up the side of a mountain.

The location was excellent and the view was stunning from the apartment. Very quiet. The hosts were very friendly but I did have to enquire as to the process to check in (you received an automated whats app message with the details) as this was not stated in the booking.

Great location, next to the bus and train stations, so we didn't have to carry the luggage all the way up the old town. The beds are very comfy and the room was clean and quiet. 24h reception is a big plus. Cortes' staff is super nice. There is not much in breakfast menu, but the toasts are big and tasty.

Lovely hosts and they have obviously given great thought with all the little extras to make a stay as comfortable as possible. Comfy beds.
