Estia Hydra is an amazing guesthouse located right on the port of Hydra Town, perfect location. The room we stayed was at the second floor and had a wonderful view on the port and the town. The owners are a very kind couple, very helpful, they also suggested us some restaurants where to eat and places to see.

First of all it’s so close so you don’t have to climb the never ending stairs to get to it. You literally just get from the ferry, walk 40 seconds and enter the hotel. The room was very clean and comfy, I liked everything about it, the shower, the bed, pillows. Everything. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious.

What a view!! Even in winter Hydra is beautiful, and our host told us about which restaurants and bar were open (in low season most of the shops and restaurants are closed, obviously). The room was even better then pictures, as they have upgraded them. Gorgeous! We had to walk some stairs, but it was worthy!

Unlike other places it is only a short climb up to the pension so handy for coming and going during the day. Host was very nice and helpful. She is usually at her clothing shop just below the pension if you need anything. Fridge was handy although a bit noisy. Was very quiet with the window closed even though close to the clock bell tower.

The bathroom was big and clean. There is also a very little kitchen and a refrigerator, and a little terrace with a view to the city. The view from the house is really nice. The host is excellent. Nice furniture, good bathroom, lots of windows to open up in the bedroom, we were very happy there. The family who host are just the nicest people you can meet! We had use of a courtyard with table and chairs, location is right in the town but down a lane so completely quiet, many good restaurants very close by.

Room had all the necessities, and a nice balcony. Great value for money. Very close to the port and everything but also quiet. AC and wifi were good. Vasileo was a perfect and very attentive host, also the breakfast team was quite charming. Our room was very large, overlooking the harbor and the amenities were very good. The breakfast spot on the rooftop terrace alone is worth booking at Douskos Port House. So we can only recommend this beautiful boutique hotel and will come again. The location was excellent - barely a walk from the port but very quiet and private. The rooms were exceptionally clean and tidied up daily. The room might have been small but it had everything we needed/plenty of storage options. We enjoyed sitting at the guesthouse’s courtyard during night time.

Not far from the port, but very quiet area - you can just sit on the terrace and listen the silence, just somehow interrupted by donkey or by the church bells. And really great host assisting us with the luggage, bringing welcome bowl of fruits and very tasty chocolate cake. Our stay couldn't be better.
