Really nice family and helpful with all our questions. The kitchen is excellent. The rooms are spacious and comfy. The location is excellent, central and close to the main road but quiet. Good wifi It is possible to make it to Semuc Champey from here, it's a long day but there are direct buses to Lanquin from Transportes Martínez (get there early 6ish), and the last one to Cobán leaves Lanquin at 4pm.

This is a great place to stay if you find yourself in Coban. Just steps away from the main plaza but totally peaceful. The rooms surround a lovely garden where the noise of the city disappears. The staff were charming and helpful. We didn't have breakfast but the coffee was excellent.

What a fab little hostel in Coban. Lovely and friendly staff (who spoke nice and slow Spanish especially for us!) Helped us organise a shuttle to Antigua and a trip to the very excellent coffee plantation at Chicoj. Our room was comfortable and a good temperature, hot water in the shower and we could use the kitchen to make a coffee in the morning.

It was our second visit and definitely we will come back. Everything is so nice. The property is so quiet, peaceful and cozy. The staff is amazing, always trying to help and solve requested services as serving breakfast a little bit earlier.

The staff were all helpful and nice. The dorm is just a set of bunk beds so I had a private room for the night. Warm shower. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel/hostel ever. There is a kitchen guests can use but they charge Q20 to use it. They helped me with the bus to Lanquín and transport from Lanquín to Antigua, but it would have been Q25 cheaper to book the transport to Antigua in Lanquín. And if you book a shuttle in Lanquín they pick you up and you don't have to go to the bus stop yourself.

The hostel is nice and clean, with sitting areas indoors and in a small covered garden. There is a large shared kitchen with a gas hob and breakfast is included. It is in a fairly quiet street within walking distance of the market and about 20 mins to the national park.

The stay exceeded our expectations! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location is great. The hostal is undergoing Renovations but the staff were caring enough to ensure that we had a quiet room away from the building noise. It will be an exceptional place to stay when renovations are complete. Decor is tasteful and cheery, and the room was equipped with a closet, table, chair and reading lamp, and a super comfortable bed. We enjoyed our breakfast on the sweet balcony. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here!

This hostel is in a great location, very clean and has great, friendly staff. We had the room on the top of the building, which was super unique and cool and gave us a nice view of the city. Shared bathroom was very clean and well decorated, would stay again.

If you want a local guatamalan experience, this is by far the place to go. It's a very cheap stay and super easily accessible by bus, costing (at this time) 1,5 Quetzales. The host Jaime is a wonderful guy and so is his family. The place is on walking distance from a coffee tour that I highly recommend. Staying longer gives a wonderful opportunity to learn a lot.
