Lovely and quiet setting with easy access to many routes, hikes and other outdoor amenities in the County Mayo region and Connemara lakes. Very tranquil and peaceful. Cathy was a super wonderful host. Sincere and gracious with lots of helpful suggestions. No shortage of things to do and see in and around the area. Definitely could have stayed longer. Cathy's breakfasts were huge, delicious and certainly set you up for the day. Highly recommended.

The main interest is the location of the Convent: absolutely stunning setting, at the heart of Connemara’s wild nature. The room: clean, tidy, simple and comfortable. The guesthouse: Sean is a great host - very careful his guests have all they need, and very nice. The hotel is a former convent, with a beautiful dining room (great breakfast!) that used to be the chapel. Three/Four little restaurants nearby and two grocery shops. Bus station nearby. Very accessible.
