Very nice guesthouse near Laxman Jhula but away from the crowds. I really enjoyed staying at Pooja’s homestay. It was clean & room was large, cozy, and I slept very well. Nice kitchen too. It is high up the bit steep hill from downtown, & I enjoyed the walk there to escape the noise & go to town when desired. It felt safe at night too, in a cute local neighborhood. Pooja is sweet and helpful, and it’s a nice independent stay.

My stay at Athalia Guesthouse was one of my favourite travel experiences ever! From the beginning, it felt like home. Lalit and his wife Priyanshi are some of the kindest people I know and they do everything they can to make you feel super welcome. You can really feel how they care about you and we had great conversations like friends. The rooms are amazing: big, very clean and comfortable, nice balcony, and the food was always incredibly tasty. I could do yoga on the rooftop in the morning with a nice sunrise. There’s a small shop right next to the stay that has almost everything of daily needs, and other shops and cafes are all in walking distance. I seriously love this place so much. Lalit helped me a lot also with booking trains & busses and dropping me here and there, and we also had a nice bike trip through the mountains. When I come back to Tapovan, I would go to Athalia Guesthouse again without any hesitation and I recommend it 100%! :)

Location is great! Walking distance to Ganga sand beach. Green area, shops and food places near to guest house. Absolutely quiet, you will hear only birds and monkies, no road noise. Nice roof top terrace for yoga, chill and meditation. We spent 1 week there and would like to come back. Double bed+small bed really comfortable for family with child. Furniture and bathroom are very fresh. Not big, but convenient. TV, AC, WiFi works good!

Great location and great rooms at the given price. They have a back gate which directly opens on the Ganga ghat and this ghat has a great view and you will find people walking early morning and evening. This ghat is very well maintained with paintings from Ramayana and Shiv Puran on the walls.

clean Rooms, good service Nice personal, nothing fancy but decent snd cosy and good location. you can get food and beverages as you choose, rent a scooter and sort of most of the activities around the area, you can talk to the always friendly host naresh he Will hook you up or guide the Way and theres yoga on the top floor good place

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. One of my favourite stays in India. It was also very quiet, so I slept like a baby. The hotel is a great choice if you want to experience Ayurvedic treatments at a reasonable price in a clean, comfortable and quiet place. They have a whole wide range of treatments which can be arranged on the day. I also had one to one yoga lessons with a private instructor most mornings on the rooftop. Perfect for early mornings and no need to travel.
