Overall, stay was comfortable and value for money. While booking I was sceptical as Yatri Niwas sounds a typical govt owned lodge with old furniture etc. But this one new, well furnished & hygienic.

The host, Nischay, was kind, polite and helpful throughout the stay. The rooms were quite good and look close to the images shown in the homestay posting across different travel booking sites. There is also Udupi Pure Veg Restaurant near the homestay that provides good South Indian meals.

One of the best veg foods I have eaten in ages while travelling. Homely environment. Very fast and quick service. They do go an extra mile to make sure the guests are comfortable. Food is prepared fresh and they ask the guests many a times on what vegetable they prefer. Some of them are right from the farm behind the guest house - more like farm to table. Very well suited for family and very safe.
