The room was lovely, clean and bright and a good size. Bathroom was clean and modern - shared with the other guests. The lounge had a huge sofa plus two tables for eating/working. Our hosts were very welcoming and informative. I wish we had been able to stay longer and enjoy the books in the lounge and the very comfy beds.

Situated in a peaceful location outside the village of Laugar. It is a self contained lodge at the rear of the owner's house. It is on the edge of a field, with views from the veranda. Well equipped with outside seating under cover. Able to watch the local bird life feeding in the field whilst having refreshments outside ine evening.

We had a fantastic stay at the guesthouse Stóru-Laugar. Everything was exactly as expected – clean, cozy, and inviting. The host was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in North Iceland.

Nice, clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location with lake views from the rooms and a hot tub overlooking the lake. Shared bathrooms and showers are clean and work well.
