Very nice and friendly host. Breakfast was best among all the accomodations we had for the entire 10 days ring road trip. Room was well equipped and clean Bonus: The host is very experience in Northern light viewing. He directed us to the best time and spot to view northern lights. Awesome!

Amazing experience! The guesthouse was beautifully furnished with high quality materials, from the rooms to the shared living room and kitchen. The staff went above and beyond for us, even ensuring that we had dinner on Christmas Eve & Christmas day when all the restaurants would be closed. We had a fabulous stay. Each of our rooms had an en suite private bathroom with shower. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the down comforters were super warm and cozy. View from our room of the sky (& some Aurora!) and the second room, the adorable down of Stykkisholmer. Loved our stay here, we will definitely be back!

Very cozy and nice. The location is stunning, right in front of the harbour. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and new, you don’t have keys you can forget around but a code to enter the room (very helpful). The kitchen is well equipped and the communal areas are well designed, you can tell the owners put a lot of efforts in making it welcoming and artistic. We arrived an hour earlier than the check in time and we were willing to wait on a sofa at the entrance but the owner allowed us to put the luggage in the room, invited us to stay in the communal area downstairs and get a hot coffee, we truly appreciated that act of kindness, this is the definition of being welcoming!

The smallest details like the handmade cups and organic icelandic soaps made it feel luxurious but homey. The staff were absolutely amazing, they went out of their way to make our stay so special and memorable. Krzysztof the night guard was super helpful and nice as well as the woman (sadly didn’t get her name) who served breakfast and was a great host during the day. It was so cozy and nice that we loved hanging out in the bar area with a cup of tea and playing scrabble.LaraIceland

The renovation of this authentic building has been executed with great attention to detail and great taste. Some may consider the rooms small, that is more a reflection of the authenticity. It was warm, cozy and very comfortable for our January trip. Our host C. was exceptional. He made us very welcome. Note there is no dinner service, but there are restaurants nearby.
