We had a bit of issue and the host helped us liaise with the authorities and provided all the support patiently. Truly grateful. The house is beautiful and well-equipped for our stay. I had been cycling in extremely bad weather and she drove me to a local coin laundry shop so I could wash and dry my belongings. She also helped me with restaurants and finding a buddhist onsen to relax my weary muscles. The house is a very high standard and the room was tatami style, spacious and modern. The garden looked wonderful although the weather didn't really permit me to relax outside. If I could score 11 I would!JohnSolo traveller

The cost of accommodation is very cheap considering the location. JR line users have to walk 10-11 minutes from the station but the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the Meitetsu Gifu station.

Great breakfast deal with the cafe. We liked walking around that area, really friendly locals. We had a really great stay! Fyi if you want to watch the fishing with the birds, you can cycle to it quite easily. When facing up river, if you go to the right hand side and walk down the pebble beach to the shore, you get an amazing view!!

We needed a little break from big, crowded cities, so we decided to visit Gifu and we had the best time! The hosts were extremely kind and their hospitality made our stay even better. We got to try sleeping on futons and also got bikes from them to go around the city. Also, their dog is the cutest but don't worry if you don't like dogs, she has her little house and you don't really need to interact with her. ❤️NuriaYoung couple

I stayed in the Japanese style room. I often find futon beds a bit uncomfortable, but the futon beds here were extremely comfortable and easy to sleep on.
