Hakuba Matata Lodge, hostal o pensió a Hakuba

Set within 44 km of Nagano Station and 45 km of Zenkoji Temple in Hakuba, Hakuba Matata Lodge features accommodation with seating area.

Location of the lodge was great, easy walking distance into Echoland and a snow shuttle bus stop not far from the front door. The lodge is well appointed and the family room is very accommodating. Breakfast was great served in the lounge area which was available for use at any time with complimentary tea/coffee. The owner was so helpful with suggestions and tips prior to our arrival and the staff looking after the lodge were so friendly, very helpful and extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend the lodge.

Mr Joshi and his wife are such a kind people. One of our highlights of our trip to Japan was staying at their pension and hiking in the beautiful mountains around Hakuba.

Pension Nugget Inn offers a terrace, bicycle rentals and free WiFi, a 5-minute drive from the Happo-One Gondola or Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park.

Gorgeous little pension. Comfortable rooms and beds - good temperature. Great shared bathrooms, very clean. Japanese bath for soaking. Lovely common space that felt very welcome in. Nice to hang out and drink a glass of wine or bento box. Great breakfasts that were timed for you.

Situated just a 5-minute walk from Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort, Pension Bonnard is a cute European-style accommodation with cosy guest rooms. It features a garden that changes its colour each season.

An old family house, it was extremely clean and well looked after. Set in amongst other characterful houses, it was a great place for a few days holiday. Breakfast each morning was delicious and very fresh. Taka was most helpful with local bookings and transport. He was also able to arrange transport of our luggage to the airport. It's extremely well located for access to the Goryu ski area, where we spent 4 days, and had some of the best skiing we've experienced. Can't rate this highly enough.
