Our stay was excellent! From the breakfast to the hospitality from the entire family. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful/ They go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We really enjoyed the open shared spaces. We met other travelers and had a great time exchanging stories.

The location was excellent. Quiet, yet very close to the centro. The hotel and my room were beautiful. The shower, bed, and air conditioning were all fantastic. The cleaning ladies were constantly working very hard to keep the place lovely and clean. Highly recommend

Ci è piaciuto letteralmente tutto! Il posto è un incanto, le stanze sono grandi comode pulitissime e profumate con un letto King davvero gigante, l’amaca fuori al balconcino… l’ambiente è super silenzioso. La struttura mette a disposizione kayak sempre pronti per essere utilizzati gratuitamente. Le colazioni, non incluse nel soggiorno, sono davvero ottime. Il clima all’interno dell’hotel è familiare e confortevole! Che dire! Il miglior posto in cui siamo stati durante il nostro viaggio in Messico! Grazie ad Horacio per averci accolti e coccolati.

We have found our personal paradise in this enchanted place by the lagoon. The water is incredible. It actually has several shades from turquoise to dark blue and is crystal clear. Right by the water in the shade under the trees, it is a wonderful place to relax even when the temperatures in Bacalar are hot. The area around the huts is completely unspoiled and far away from the noise of the road. If you're traveling by bus like we were, it's a 20-minute cab ride from Bacalar (there's no Uber). Ernesto and Camilla were excellent hosts. As we had no car Ernesto and family drove us all the way into Bacalar for supplies on more than one occasion... We enjoyed the (covered) outdoor shared kitchen immensely. We had all the necessary kitchen supplies to make lunches and dinners plus it was a great way to meet the other guests staying in the huts next to ours. And lastly there are 2 excellent kayaks to use on the lagoon...

We loved our stay in the cabaña. Although the rooms are simple, we had everything we needed. The aircon was great and much needed in the high temperatures. The fruit in the morning was amazing. We loved squeezing our own orange juice and chilling in the hammock. We loved our stay so much we extended. The staff were lovely and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Bacalar.

Near Lake hostal has everything u want as a solo traveller. Its close to the centre close to the free beach and a warm welcoming hosts. Eli and Rino did everything they could, to make it feel like home far away from home. Thanks so much 🙏

Fantastic kitchen to use with everything you need. Nice outdoor area with tables to eat meals. Agua potable hot and cold. Everything was super new and clean. Beautiful view from the outdoor terrace on the second floor. We really loved sitting outside in the mornings having a coffee and watching/listening to the birds. Very comfortable bed and bright room. Excellent location for walking to Cocalitos and Cenote azul. Super close to multiple options for kayak rentals In cenote esmeralda. Easy 20 min walk to town on coastal road or if you want it's easy to flag down a taxi. It's possible to do laundry. Cheap bike rental compared to in town. Thanks Cynthia!!! (She is so helpful and we really liked the entire family atmosphere).
