What a view! We got a balcony room overlooking the mountain and towns below, as well as the pool and cute bar area downstairs. The room itself is quite small, but the bed was great and we really stayed here to be near the scenic area and Fisgas de Ermelo, the truly epic waterfall within a 20 minute drive of the property through the beautiful mountain area. The host was great, friendly to talk to and gave us some great tips (plus a quite good affordable bottle of wine for the evening). Make sure to bring dinner with you or stop before you come for the evening as there is nothing in the immediate area. Breakfast was quite good too. There is also a pool and hot tub, although it was too cold for us to use those (even in July). Overall, if you're driving through the area, it's worth a stop!

This is a very comfortable big room in the town centre of Vila Real, near restaurants, the river, and stores. Perfect if you want a quiet space as well. The room is big, and the mattress is very good. Because the rooms are on the top floor it's very quiet during the evening, you don't hear any noise from the streets.

Located next to the Corgo River, this large eco-friendly and family-run B&B in the Douro Region comprises 6 stone cottages and 3 guest rooms in the main house. The green gardens feature an outdoor pool and plenty of sun terraces.

We loved our stay! It is a property with a long history, carefully renovated by the owners and it retained an old world vibe.. It feels like time has stopped and you are transported to a fairly tale here! I loved the attention to detail at every corner. The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal. The breakfast/dining area feels like you're in someone's home. We stayed in the main house and there were very few other guests while we were there. So we stayed a lot in the common area, on the couch with a fireplace. You can keep up the fire yourself and it keeps the room very warm. We were here in October. The weather was cold and rainy. It made our stay even more cozy. The bed was HUGE and super comfortable. We had a car. It would be difficult to stay here without one. It is a pleasant 30-40min drive to see the vineyards in Piñhao. We also liked the city centre of Vila Real, 5min driving from the property. All in all, our favourite stay in Portugal (and we stayed in 5 different hotels/AirBnBs).

Built with 17th century granite, the inn features a garden with an outdoor pool and barbecue area.

Guests can select from rooms and apartments, two of which face the pool and a barbecue area. All units include traditional furnishing, satellite TV, and tea and coffee making facilities.

The house is so pleasant, we felt like staying at our parents' home. The host is welcoming and supports your stay as much as needed but without excessive attention - ideal! The room was spacious, tidy, silent, and calm. The beds were comfortable, and we slept like logs. The breakfast was somewhat unpretentious, but the fruits were from the host's garden - a pleasant surprise. As a nice bonus, the three sweetest dogs lived at the house. Our kid was afraid of dogs before our stay. But she fell in love with these three by the second day of our stay.

Room was very private with its own verandah, comfy bed and lovely big bathroom. Swimming pool looked inviting, with plenty of sun beds available, though weather did not encourage us to use it. Quiet location, set in attractive gardens. Margarida and Nunno were very friendly and welcoming, and spoke good English. There was an excellent restaurant two minutes walk away that served good food at a reasonable cost. They also had a good wine cellar. Host was very helpful and spoke English. It meant we did not have to travel into city for food.

This was the best accommodation of its kind I've rented. Spacious, comfortable, clean, with parking and super-friendly and helpful hosts. Filipe, the owner, actually insisted on driving me to a nearby restaurant when I asked for a recommendation - and introduced me to the owner, to make sure I got good service! You can't beat that! The house has nice views over the mountains, but also easy access into the city centre. In short, it's superb.

Great place for a restful day. Felt like I was coming for networking, the pop-up social drinks made my day. The host was amiable and did the extra to make pumper us... Did not disappoint, it was a great place for a couple of days. The breakfast was enough and everything to please you,q quiet room and plenty of space. If you love wine, ask for the local brew, was amazing in my experience. If I can I will defo come back for a longer stay.

The property is a little rural gem hidden away in this lovely medium sized town. Our host was delightful and enthusiastic. The honesty shop was quaint, well stocked and a lovely old time experience. Wish we could have stayed for a few days to fully enjoy the property and offerings.
