Casa Vieja really felt like home away from home. Luis and his family are amazing hosts!! Luis also gave us a lot of tips and info about Santa Ana volcano and lake Coatepeque. Any questions you have he’s the right person to ask too! The room was very clean and comfortable…will definitely recommend it 100% 😌

The hostel is in a great location. It very close to many different restaurants (amazing pupusas!!), a natural spring pool is just a 5 minute walk away, and the main town square is a 15 minute walk. The neighborhood felt safe and the hostel owner (Nelson) is a super cool chill dude. He does a free walking tour which I highly recommend to get acquainted with the area. He also has the cutest dog named Bush! It was such a treat getting to know them while staying at the hostel. The hostel kitchen is also well equipped and I also loved that you are able to do your own laundry here in the washing machine. I would definitely recommend this place!

The location was great, right by the lively street market and a couple of minutes walking from the main square (theatre, cathedral, city hall, casino, etc.). The staff was great and there was a guitar on hand too! Just ask the staff about it.
