I would like to score it as a 15 instead of a 10. The hostel family is just amazing!! They are open minded, warm and welcoming. They like to chat with you and make you feel coming a kind of home. They are still improving the hostel and take critical feedback serious (if you can find some). And than there is Yolanda! I haven't meet someone as lovely as Yolanda since a long while traveling!! She is hard working for you and the hostel, but she always has an ear for you. She is like you Santa Ana Mum :) And her Pupusas classes ...oh my god!!! The best pupusas you will be able to find in El Salvador and around! Don't miss the Pupusa class !!!

The hostel is in a great location. It very close to many different restaurants (amazing pupusas!!), a natural spring pool is just a 5 minute walk away, and the main town square is a 15 minute walk. The neighborhood felt safe and the hostel owner (Nelson) is a super cool chill dude. He does a free walking tour which I highly recommend to get acquainted with the area. He also has the cutest dog named Bush! It was such a treat getting to know them while staying at the hostel. The hostel kitchen is also well equipped and I also loved that you are able to do your own laundry here in the washing machine. I would definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic hostel. Beautiful colonial style building with lovely original features. Great courtyard and upper balcony area to chill in with a $1 Pilsener or free water/coffee - from one of the owners own plantation - and talk to people. Pool table. Large morning market 30 seconds round the corner, main square less than 5 mins walk. Can rent scooters directly, take part in organized day trips/excursions outside or just hang out with the manager/owners and get taken to casually visit cool local spots. Friendly owners and special mention to Gustavo the manager, super chill dude who's eager to create a good atmosphere in the hostel and help you out with anything he can.

This possibly the nicest hostel we have stayed at during our 10 month trip so far (7 months in). With the most comfortable beds, air con, a fantastic breakfast and nicest staff, especially valeri who was around all times to help... would highly recommend this place.
