Located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, this retreat-style, limited-amenity accommodation boasts an on-site yoga studio, Stanton Street Yoga, with free unlimited classes daily for guests and community outreach projects.

The Sanctuary's Lower East Side neighbourhood is a diverse district, home to a number of boutiques, music venues and dining options. Clinton Street Baking Company is 3 minutes' walk away.

This place is a hidden gem!!! Amazing location, Stanton street is really busy at night but just one block down where the Sanctuary is, is super quiet. Mario is so kind and answered any questions I had quickly. The room is huge for NYC standards, super clean and comfortable. Will 100% stay again.

Located in the centre of New York, 500 metres from Broadway Theatre and less than 1 km from Carnegie Hall, Comfy Guest House in Hell's Kitchen offers free WiFi and air conditioning. This property is situated a short distance from attractions such as Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock, and St Patrick's Cathedral. Central Park is 1.5 km from the guest house and Lincoln Center is less than 1 km away.

Even though the room is a little bit small, the bed was very confortable and it fits well for two persons. All the place was very clean and smelled fresh every time we came in. It was also good to see that the bath mats were being changed while we were there since it’s a shared bathroom. Over all it is very well located and situated on a queer safe neighborhood.

Victor was an excellent host. He sent me a video with self check-in procedure, so we could come even late at night. He responded very quickly and asked me several times if everything was okay. The bathroom was cleaned every day, and the guests in the other rooms were very quiet and respectful of our privacy. The locality was also great - just a few minutes' walk to the subway, which takes you to Manhattan in 30-40 minutes. We enjoyed a cafe near the subway station called Cafe Catmandoo, where they had perfect coffee and avocado toast.

I liked I had my own private room with food, TV, and internet. It had all the simple amenities I hoped for. Nice, quiet neighborhood with a great host. Next time I’m in NY, I’ll definitely stay there again!

The hostel is in a very accessible location, the subway is a short distance away and there are several lines N,W,7+E,F,R that lead to the center and downtown or uptown. Great location, nice and helpful staff, kitchenette, small room with a small shower, everything satisfactory.

Great location, easy to head into Manhattan or Brooklyn from the closest subway station. It’s on a relatively quiet street but we felt fine walking back at night. The room was pretty spacious compared to others we have stayed in.

The Local NY is located in a quiet neighbourhood. In 2 minutes walking distance there are a few new restaurants and a brewery - which we liked very much. The next subway station is very close and services several lines to manhattan. The room was not too big but clean and as we expected. Travelling NYC, we would stay in the Hostel again.

The location is great, very close to the metro station and the city center, but also to the ferry that you can take to Dumbo or Manhattan. The lounge area is also nice, the rooms are clean and they have sufficient space for travellers (I've stayed in a 4-bed female dorm), and it's also great to get a fresh towel. I've stayed here two times when I was in NYC and I like how quite it was for a hostel. The rooftop area is also a plus point to the place.
