Absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived and were welcomed into this little corner of paradise by Riann we knew we had made the right decision. The Swallows Rest is a lovely cottage, with great views, in a fabulous location. The sound of lions roaring just behind the house only added to the enjoyment. The outdoor shower and wood-fired hot tub just completed the full package. We loved having our own space, cooking our own meals in this magnificent setting. When we had difficulty lighting the wood for the hot tub and contacted Riann he had lighters and kindling delivered within minutes. You couldn’t ask for a more responsive host. We also took the opportunity to pre-book the animal encounter and were superbly looked after by Shané. Her understanding of the animal welfare, behaviours, psychology and conservation gave us an extraordinary insight into the animals in her care. We had the opportunity to get up close with zebra, caracal, cheetahs, ostriches and an albino porcupine and to see lions, spotted hyena and meerkats - an experience I will never forget. We just wished that we had booked a longer stay!

Quaint, well-supplied cottage (even had ground coffee and plungers) in a beautiful setting. Hosts were very good, getting hot tub ready etc. The bedrooms were lovely and the beds comfortable. Despite rainy weather, we enjoyed our stay. Had a long walk and took in the amazing scenery.

Cherry on the top was Rosie whose lovely warm demeanour made us feel instantly welcome. Our host Alison also went out of her way to make us feel at home. I could go on but would spoil it for future visitors.
