Before we reach the hotel, we drive through the avocado and macadamia plantation that belongs to the estate. Upon arrival, Tracey, the owner of Highgrove House, is waiting for us for a warm welcome, refreshing towels and a welcome drink. Tracey passionately talks about the history of the family business and shows us the beautiful gardens and main building. You imagine yourself in a bygone era. We notice that attention to detail will be the guiding principle for our stay here when we receive a tour and are escorted to our suite. Literally everything has been thought of. Over the past few days we have been spoiled culinary and we have really enjoyed the peace and nature. Nothing was too much for the team of Highgrove. We wished we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back!

This is an absolutely gorgeous guest lodge, with beautiful gardens, a pool, and beautiful views of the valley. The room was beautiful and 5 star. People were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed working and relaxing at Abangane and had quite a few good meals at the restaurants close by at Perry's Bridge in Hazyview.

Śniadania są smaczne i dostatecznie urozmaicone. Bardzo sympatyczni i towarzyscy właściciele opowiedzieli nam sporo ciekawych rzeczy o RPA i udzielili wskazówek, które bardzo pomogły nam w dokonaniu prawidłowych wyborów, np. co do miejsc które warto odwiedzić, restauracji w których warto zjeść. Pokój wygląda tak, jak na zdjęciach udostępnionych w Booking.com, to znaczy jest obszerny i nowocześnie urządzony. Łóżko wyposażono w moskitierę, mimo że komarów było niewiele i niespecjalnie nam się dały we znaki. W ogrodzie wokół budynków jest piękna roślinność, a każde z 73 drzew oznaczono tabliczką informacyjną. Dojazd jest dość prosty i w miarę dobrze oznakowany, ale warto mieć nawigację.
