Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram is a recently renovated guest house in Vrindāvan, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. I write this review from a specific perspective — I had arrived in Vrindavan with a group but then stayed a few days on my own. I have been to Vrindavan previously but I was a little nervous about staying solo as a western woman… Vraja can present some challenges for us in regards to attracting attention, even if you are an experienced devotee. I usually stay at MVT so I can walk directly to ISKCON by myself, but it was full and I am SO GLAD I found Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram instead! It perfectly threads the needle between having comfortable rooms and being peaceful and still in the center of Vrindavan, with the real spirit of Vrindavan and not like some of the newer developments. “Ashram” conjures up thoughts of austerities — and on the same trip I stayed alone in a Math that I couldn’t handle alone… but the rooms here are incredibly comfortable and provide things that seem luxurious in an ashram, especially for the price. I had a king-sized bed with comfortable mattresses, multiple pillows, and duvets — no fuzzy brown blankets … A wardrobe, a table and chairs for sitting, a KETTLE and tea/coffee cups with some hot drink packets and even digestive biscuits!!! Also an amazing ceiling fan, real towels in the washroom, a shower head providing hot water with water pressure instead of a bucket… etc. There’s even a TV with cable, I believe, but I did not get a chance to use it. there’s also an enclosed colonial-style veranda looking out onto a lawn which is a peaceful place to enjoy your beverage. The ashram features a small temple in the back which seems to offer small aartis daily, but this really seemed like more of a guest house than a residential ashram. anyways here is why you should choose this place as a solo woman — there is always security and the staff are AMAZING and super helpful! I booked specifically based on other Booking reviews that expressed this.

Situated within 300 metres of Dasaswamedh Ghat and 600 metres of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Anand Kanan features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Varanasi. Everything, especially the honor but hard finding the guest house Ananda Kanan. We thank all of you, I repeat thank you very much.

Anukampa Paying Guest House is located in Agra, 1.7 km from Taj Mahal, and provides free WiFi. Anukampa is a very special guest house. For sure we will choose it if we come back to Agra. The rooms are very clean and well decorated, the staff is really kind and helpful with everything. Wi-fi is available and works very well. Very delicious food at affordable price is available, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, cooked there by Virginia, and it is also possible to choose where to eat: room, dining room or rooftop. I highly recommend lemon rice, veg noodles and chai tea! They also provided a taxi driver for a day round trip to both Fatehpur Sikri and Keoladeo National Park. Many other services are available. Prashant was very helpful for money exchange with the right value. Deepak was amazing in recommending us some non-turistic walking tours, one in the villages and one in Siddharth Nagar neighbourhood. In the village tour, he guided us deep in the real life of indian people, showing us how villagers are invested in agriculture. We met very nice people living there, they also offered us some breakfast and chai tea in their home. It was a very heart-warming experience. Before the neighbourhood tour, Deepak also brought us to eat very special street food like paneer kachori and jalebi and then explained very well the caste system. Situated in Agra, 2.2 km from Taj Mahal, Max Guest House features a terrace and views of the garden. Free WiFi is available. Great host helped us with everything we needed help with. A clean spacious room with great bright common area. Close to everything but quiet at night. Could not recommend it more.
