Dísa was so welcoming, when I arrived she took out a map and showed me all of her favourite spots to go to and how to use the bus system. Speaking of the bus, it couldn’t be more convenient drops you right outside the house! The room was spotless and had blackout blinds which are essential for the Icelandic summers!

The Sundhöll Reykjavíkur public swimming pool is 650 metres from Grettir Guesthouse and a variety of restaurants and cafés are found in nearby streets. I loved staying here rather than in a sterile hotel. The location was perfect....I walked everywhere and lots of shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Instructions very clear and I liked that there were no staff. Warm and a comfy bed with great kitchen facilities.

It even offered free gas canisters left behind by other tourists. I loved how caring the staff was and also its location. Perfect stay in Reykjavik. Great value for money. My husband is really picky and he really loved stayin there.
